Responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. Quantity surveyors manage the costs of a construction project. They help to ensure that the construction project is completed within its projected budget.
price/forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project
prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation
track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly
procure or agree the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project
measure and value the work done on site
pay subcontractors
liaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers and site engineers
select and/or source construction materials

Project Experience:
The project with a land area of 25, 660m2 and built-up floor area of approximately 700, 000 square meters.
The key components of the project include Residential towers, Prayer area, roads, car parking lots,
infrastructure works including water supply, sewerage and drainage facilities, construction of 10 storeys
Podium and construction of 24 storeys 7 Nos. 5 star hotel towers above podium
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Submit and agree monthly progress invoice.
Submit and agree monthly progress claims
Identify, price and agree project variations.
Settlement of Final Accounts with Clients and Sub-contractors.
Sourcing contractors and suppliers.
Reviewing Contracts for new projects.
Negotiating and appointing preferred sub-contractors.
Putting Contract in place for new sub-contractors
Checking subcontractor invoices and certifying payments.
Collecting / recording event details from site to establish variations / contra charges etc…

Presentaly I am working with TAG Engg & Contracting Co at Renovation of Qatar radio and television complex
as a Sr.Quantity Surveyor. Which is US$ 35 Million project.
Worked with AMMICO CONTRACTING CO W.L.L at Pearl Shell GTL Project Rasslaffan as
a Sr. Quantity Surveyor in Civil Works & Earth Works Department.
My assigments are as under:
1. Preparation of monthly project valuation to our clients and getting it certified as per
contractual stipulations in our Shell Pearl GTL Project Rass Laffan (Earth Works & Civil
Works) which is a US$ 65 Million Project.
2. Updating weekly Project Progress Updates (PPU) for submission to clients (Civil Works
& Earth Works).
3. Take off of Earthworks, Civil & Structural works.
4. Preparation of Bar bending schedules.
Worked with BESTWAY CEMENT LIMITED client & consultant for the construction of Cement plant 6, 000-tons/day and ancillary works at Chakwal Branch as Technical Officer-II (Assistant Quantity Surveyor) in Quantity Section Department.
My assignments was as under.
1. Checking of Contractors monthly Interim payment certificates (IPC) of Main Contractors & Sub Contractors.
2. Make up the Monthly payment certificate of Civil Works & Machinery.
3. Making daily progress and daily concrete report.
4. Making Contract Agreement & Work Order for Miscellaneous Civil Works and Equipments (Loader, Excavator, Dumper, Water Bozer, Tractor Trolley, Dozer, Transit Mixer and Mobile concrete pump etc.
5. And maintain the quantity section’s related record.
Worked with SAFARI VILLAS-I & SAFARI VILLAS -II as Assistant Quantity Surveyor at Rawalpindi. For Construction of Housing society that was consist approximately three hundred houses having different designed and sizes.
My assignments was as under.
1. Verification of monthly Running Bills of contractor.
2. Preparing of Daily, fornightly and Monthly Progress Reports.
3. Checking and Verifying of Contractors bills.
4. Preparing material consumption report.
5. Settlement of final bills.
6. Estimating & Costing of Concrete structures, Houses including barbending schedule etc
7. Supervison of subcontractor’s work
