Project : This project includes the complete management and maintenance of Mobily’s Fixed Services Network. The network is based on Juniper Routers(T160, MX960, MX480 and MX240 etc.) and Cisco Switches (ME3400) .


Responsibilities:

-New customer’s link provisioning for L2VPN, L3VPN(Inter-AS/Intra-As) and Internet Access (Natonal/International) etc. services at ISP’s cloud over a variety of access media as GPON, Dark Fiber, Point-to-Point, Point-to-multipoint, VSAT etc.
-Layer 2 customer link configuration at switch including VLANs, Switch Port etc.
-To perform the Upgrade/Downgrade, Migration (Change media), Relocation, Suspension and Disconnection of existing customer services.
-BGP, RIP, VRRP protocol cconfiguration.
-Modifying import and export policy filters to receive and advertise specific routes.
-Assisting the Field Engineer remotely to provide the customer with the agreed service level during customer visit for new link activation.
-Troubleshooting any issues that arise at link activation in coordination with different access teams responsible for the specific customer link during FE’s site visit, and if necessary escalating the issue to L3 Engineers.
-To perform customer link migration during downtime in coordination with FE present at customer site.
-Allocate public IPs to Internet customers from the specific region IP block, maintain database of IPs assigned to customers, release the IPs from the cancelled customers, and the notify the concerned team in case of IPs shortage for a specific region.
-Coordinate with the 24x7 operations team in case of an issue arise due to missing or wrong configuration of the customer link.
-Record and maintain the daily provisioning activities database and report to the department supervisor on daily basis.
-Coordinate with the planning team in understanding the design and configuration feasibilities when implementing solutions for special requirement customers, and informing them with any inconsistencies faced after implementation.
-Assuming the role of Acting Team lead in the absence of Team Lead.
-Performing time to time configuration checks and correcting any inconsistencies.

This project included the complete new implementation of Saudi Aramco’s Data Network throughout the kingdom, and the migration of old ATM to new MPLS Network. The new network comprised of Juniper Routers(T1600, MX960 and MX480 etc.), Cisco Routers(3945) and HP switches(8212, 5406 and 3500 etc.)

-To assist the onsite team in the discovery of new network devices and troubleshoot any configuration issues.
-Perform post discovery configuration which includes routing protocol and radius server configuration.
-Generate the Site Acceptance Test(SAT) report to be submitted to the client.
-Troubleshoot connectivity issues between newly discovered routers and switches.
-Generating and loading configuration on newly discovered switches through DORADO software tool.
-24x7 call-out rotation as per the shift schedule.
-Proactive network monitoring on NETCOOL network monitoring tool, alarm handling and trouble shooting.
-Incident Classification, Fault handling and escalation processes to be followed.
-Communicate with field operation team staff as appropriate using corporate email / phone to provide regular updates on incident handling and to handle any on site remote assistance at for different ARAMCO locations.
-Troubleshoot; Perform network diagnostics to isolate the root cause of faults.
-Confirming the actual physical connectivity with the designed interface package of the newly discovered devices.
-Coordinate with field engineers to resolve cabling/ transceivers issues
-Coordinate the preparation and maintenance of Interface Packages.
-Performance Acceptance Test (PAT)! creation and evaluation
-Maintain and update the documents to reflect the actual hardware components of equipments already discovered.
-To check if a site is cleared to be migrated and has all the issues resolved before the migration schedule.

Was a team member in the Getronics project of upgradation of MOWE Qassim’s IP Telephony infrastructure.The upgradation involved complete reinstallation of existing CUCMs(7.1.3) to the newer version(7.1.5) and adding them to the Riyadh’s MOWE Head Office cluster.My responsibilities were as follows:

-Assisting in the CUCM installation process.
-Post installation configuration of CUCM’s like creating Dial plans, Calling Search Spaces and Parttions etc.
-Creating, modifying and deleting end users.
-IP Fax’s Configuration.

-Connecting Cisco 7942, 6911 and 6921 IP phones with the CME.
-Ensuring the assignment of extensions in accordance with client’s requirements.
-Troubleshooting connectivity issues of IP phones with in the organization.
-Configuring Cisco Catalyst Switches.
