As Senior QA Engineer (Team Lead), my responsibilities include:
• Participating in requirement gathering process and developing the technical documents for each phase of SDLC.
• Implementation and Execution of Software Quality Assurance process.
• In depth analysis of application requirement.
• Reviewing and Preparing all the technical documents (SRS, SFS, BRDs etc)
• Preparation of QA Plan (strategies, methodologies and resources)
• Validating the Test Scenarios as per requirement.
• Quality Assurance process execution (with the help of team members by executing the test cases as per QA Plan)
• Mobile Application Testing (iOS, Android, BB platforms)
• Shipment Assurance for application releases.
• Review and validate the application manuals.
• Communication with onsite contacts as well as internal managers and technical team leads.
• Preparation of statistical reports based upon the executed test cases.
As QA Engineer, my responsibilities include:
• Performing activities as per daily task assignment
• In depth review of all technical documents related to the build under test
• Continuous observation and analysis of software development process
• Utilization of skills needed to promote improvements in QA processes
• Identification of test scenarios
• Break down the requirement into test cases with solid coverage
• Scenario and Test case writing
• Graybox and Blackbox testing with all techniques
• Identification, reporting defects and follow up on them through resolution
• Shipment Assurance Testing and test enclosure
• Communication with technical and non-technical people, engineers and managers
• Managing the QA department activities and task assignment
• Development the training plans for new resources
• In depth review and analysis of project documents (Proposals, SRS, FS, Manuals etc)
• Implementation of processes in QA department
• Verification and validation for the business rules of the projects
• Preparation of QA and test Plans
• Preparation of test schedule
• Controlling of configurations for the related documents using VSS
• Configuration of test environment
• Execute test case and bug reporting.
• Preparation of Open Bug Report and release notes.
• Test closure and complete analysis as final review.
As a QA Test Engineer, my responsibility is to test the developed application by the organization. Testing inclucdes all kind of applications like Web and Desktop.
Also review and analysis of documents of those applications. Analysis of Functional Specification, System specification and other required documents.
To impliment the process describe by the ISO for QA department of IT industry.
Proper maintainance of files using Visual Source Safe software.
Projects tested at ACROLOGIX till now:
1) Sind Club
• Scope: Desktop based Information system developed for the club, which deals with the whole system of club (Member Management, Monthly Billing and Accounts etc).
•Technology Used: VB.Net and Microsoft SQL Server
2) PPSCIS
• Scope: Web based Information system for “Punjab Public Service Commission” which deals with all the departments and processes of PPSC.
• Technology Used: ASP.Net and Oracle 8i
3) Raffles_eStock
• Scope: Web based Information system for “Raffles computer systems” handling the whole system of company (Sale, Purchase and Stocks etc).
•Technology Used: ASP.Net and Microsoft SQL Server
4) PCD
• Scope: Web based Information system for “Punjab Cooperative Department”, which handles all the management activities of the department.
• Technology Used: ASP.Net with Oracle 9i.
5) PESSI
• Scope: Desktop based system for “Punjab Employees Social Security Institution” which uses web services to access the system remotely.
• Technology Used: VB.Net, XML and MS SQL Server
6) PAAPAM
• Scope: Web based system developed for “Pakistan Association for Automotive Parts and Accessories Manufacturers”. It is an ERP solution which provides the whole services of resource management, production, sales and finance etc.
• Technology Used: PHP and MySQL
