• Customer Service: Assist customers where and when required in processing import and export cargo to maintain and enhance customer service standards and perception of the company.
• Cargo reservation and Booking
• Coordination with GHA: To liaise with and communicate to the GHA and regulatory authorities, the planned requirement in the respect of the handling and documentation of import export and transfer cargo, mail, and express products.
• Maintain the Quality of Services: To monitor the acceptance, handling and delivery of import, export and transfer cargo products and associated documentation to ensure adherence to policies and procedures and facilitate optimum operational efficiency service and product quality standards and ensure that the safety of the aircraft is not compromised and service and product quality standards are maintained.
• Email correspondence
• Load Planning: Plan the loading of the cargo product into ULDs/bulk for carriage on the assigned aircraft in accordance with priorities given and the volume and payload available to achieve the optimum utilization of capacity.
• Uld Stock maintenance: Maintain up to date record of ULD stock to ensure optimum use of ULDs.
• Tracing: Check for and monitor cargo irregularities, discrepancies (damage, loss etc) initiating preventive/corrective actions as necessary to minimize cost arising from claims.
• Flight Departure: Monitor the offloading on loading of cargo from/onto arriving/departing flights, checking for irregularities and/or deviations from standard policies and procedures and coordinating requirements with the designated responsible representatives of the GHA.
• Cargo buildup & breakdown: Perform the buildup and breakdown of cargo/courier/mail and ensure swift and safe movement of cargo courier and mail loads. And ensure that goods are correctly received or dispatched in accordance with established service standards. Ensure that all shipments of restricted articles are properly handled and processed in full compliance with the current edition of IATA DGR and are loaded accordingly.
• Documentation: Process all associated documentation (manually/through automated systems) relating to the shipments of courier/mail.
• Cargo Acceptance: Accept cargo, courier and mail from/to the customers, which requires a high degree of attentiveness, speed and with a very high degree of accuracy.
