Worked in PIA for more than 38 years i.e. 8 years in “Safety & QA” and for 30 years in “Engineering & Maintenance” Department. My work experience is a blend of, a Technical Investigator, a Quality Auditor, a QA Engineer, a QC Engineer, a Human Factor Engineer, a SMS / HSE (Engineering) Coordinator.
The assignments required me to investigate, accidents / incidents, especially of Technical nature with focus on Procedural Violations, Human Factors issues, System failures, procedural deviations, conduction of Safety Audits / Safety Surveys.
As production Engineer, have worked in Engineering & Maintenance Department in Aircraft Overhaul & Line Maintenance Divisions. Have also worked as an Engineering Supervisor, and as a Technician too.
Have coordinated with officials of CAA (Pak) on Technical matters. Have managed and coordinated with Quality Auditors & delegates when visiting Safety & QA Department.
Have audited Aviation fuel farms.
A volunteer for the “Family Assistance Support Team” in Emergency Response Planning Section.
