I've spent over a year working as an Accountant in the UAE, where I've built a solid hands-on understanding of how a finance function really operates day to day. My work covers everything from keeping the books accurate and up to date, raising invoices, processing payments, and reconciling bank accounts, to making sure suppliers are paid on time and outstanding receivables are followed up on. I also take care of VAT filing and petty cash, and pitch in during month-end close to help get the numbers over the line. I work mainly in Tally and Excel, and I take real pride in keeping things clean, compliant, and done properly.
