I was responsible for purchasing all the required materials, services and equipment for the smooth running of
the DRC programme in Puntland and in accordance with DRC procurement rules.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure that all Procurement materials, services and equipments are adhering to DRC Procurement rules.
* Ensure that all procurement requests are duly filled before starting any procurement process;
* Collect quotations when needed, ensuring that required number of companies are requested to provide
quotation and that all businesses in the sector are given a chance to submit one;
* Prepare the documentation for quotation analysis for verification and approval by the Programme
Manager;
* Before purchase, ensure that items are in good working order; after purchase, ensure that items are in
good working condition before delivery to DRC;
* Purchase, collect and deliver the purchased items, ensuring that all relevant documentation (guarantees,
instructions, Goods Received Form etc.) accompany the item purchased;
* Clearing cash advances with the accountant against Goods Received Forms on a daily basis;
WORK EXPIRIENCE
* Prepare and maintain plans and spreadsheet on procurement;
* Keep the procurement files up to date;
* Preparing progress reports on purchasing as required;
* Providing information on prices, availability, quality and delivery as required.

* Ensure project materials are delivered to the right location safely and within the agreed time
frame and that materials delivered are accounted.
* To distribute all construction materials (Such as Bricks, Sand, Stone, Cements, Water & etc) to the
sights whereby the field work is taking place.
* To organize the construction workers such as Masons, and supervise them on how they are
carrying out the construction and within the effective time frame.
* To contact the masons before starting the construction in the field and to supervise them
constantly.
* Organize manual loading and offloading of construction materials.
* To assist Logistics and procurement by driving DRC track for transporting purchased materials
from the market.
* Stand by driver for all DRC vehicles at anytime to anywhere.
* To work with all other DRC departments when needed.
* Any other Emergency Duties.

Storekeeper
Supervise all activities within the warehouse. Be responsible for the passage of all goods through the
warehouse, and the safe and efficient storage and packing of all items.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure that all goods are stored and packed safely and securely.
* Ensure that stock levels are recorded correctly on bin cards.
* Check deliveries of goods for quality and quantity, and record details on goods received forms.
* Issue goods from stock only on receipt of an authorized stock request form.
* Organize the manual loading and unloading of vehicles when necessary.
* Compile regular stock reports and stock reconciliations, and ensure that discrepancies in stock levels are
reported to the line manager.
* To ensure that store records are kept up date, are reliable and are maintained according to DRC
storekeeping practices.
* Be responsible for the security of the warehouse and the stock.
* Any other duties as assigned by the logistics Officer.
