Review data sheets for pumps, compressors and other rotating equipment, including mechanical packages in accordance with project specifications and client formats.
Perform technical evaluation of supplier bids, provide clarifications, and prepare technical reports to support order placement.
Review mechanical seal plans to ensure compliance with data sheet requirements.
Review piping layouts and isometric drawings for conformity with applicable piping specifications.
Inspect piping and equipment installation to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and quality standards.
Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) for equipment and piping, ensuring contractor submissions align with project specifications.
Develop preservation plans in accordance with API 686 standards and vendor-recommended procedures.
Review and attend pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for piping and rotating equipment.
Execute pre-commissioning activities including water flushing, air and steam blowing, tightness testing, internal cleaning, box-up, lube oil flushing, mechanical running, and initial start-up of pumps and machinery.
Coordinate with vendors to ensure proper preparation for commissioning and full implementation of all procedures.

SEP Elastomer Project

Monitoring and conducting construction activities of all the disciplines as per the standards, codes
and
Project standard and specification.
Supervise and manage the contractors & subcontractors for the construction of all the disciplines.
Closely monitor the progress on daily /weekly basis with corresponding planned schedule.
Analyse and give input to project control to verify physical progress.
Prepare recovery plan to mitigate the delays and ensure it is being fully implemented.
Facilitate the contractor to smoothly execute the job by coordinating with owner
(operation/maintenance/safety/security) department when and wherever required.
Review all the equipment modification package, Ensure resource plan and schedule is developed
during package preparation stage.
Ensure ASME equipment modification with emphasis on R stamp is in compliance with code, closely
monitor and coordinate with AI prior to commencement of modification.
Closely Coordinate with engineering and QC in case of conflict on code.
Monitor the equipment internal installation works.
Review the confined space internal tray Installation procedure. Review the schedule and resource
plan
Monitor and plan the pre-commissioning activities such as internal cleaning, catalyst loading, and oil
flushing of pumps, compressors etc., and mechanical run test.
Closely coordinate with engineering/procurement of contractors for the vendor visit and schedule the
activities.

Ensure that all method statements & procedures, installation manuals related to mechanical (static
& rotating equipment) comply with project specifications, local regulations and meet the
requirements of international codes and standards.
Inspection of mechanical equipment works such as preparation for installation, location, elevation,
pump centering, and leveling as per approved drawings and code of standards.
Inspection of pressure vessels, heat exchanger, filters, columns, pumps, compressors, fin fan cooler..
Check the shim pad installations are done as per the codes and standards.
Check the centering leveling and alignment of the equipment.
Preliminary alignment and final alignment execution as per API 686 and Project specification of all
the pumps.
Inspection of all static equipment such as vessel heat exchangers are as per the design and
installation are done as per the vendor recommendation and project specifications.
Inspection of atmospheric above ground storage tanks, shell plate erection.
Ensure the roundness and plumpness is within limit of API 650 for the site erected tanks.
Perform relevant NDT test on welding and tank Hydrotest, Oil penetrant test of the erected tank.
Check out of erected facilities in static condition, to confirm all material is present, correctly
installed, safely terminated, internally cleaned and free of foreign materials. Carry out tests to
indicate continuity and containment. Perform simulation test to dynamically verify the operability
and safety of equipment and systems.
Experience in pre-commissioning activities such as water flushing, air and steam blowing, tightness
test, mechanical running & initial start-up of pumps and equipment / machinery, acid cleaning.

Check and assure that all joints are exposed for examination during pressure test. Ensure that
isolation or disconnection of equipment not to be tested. Check vents are open when filling
and draining lines.
Witness final pressure tests, including verification that pressure gauges have adequate dial
range and is calibrated.
Verify that the testing pressure does not exceed the allowable test pressure of any equipment
in the system.
Verify that the required test pressure was maintained for the specified length of time with no
acceptable leakage.
Confirm the piping system concurs with flow diagrams to verify completeness of system.
Evaluation of test package contents, lines checking against drawing requirements to ensure
completeness and accuracy of the piping system.
Confirm repairs, re-testing and re-inspection in accordance with specifications. Ensure blinds
are removed and correct gaskets are installed.
Inspection of reinstatement Items
Inspection of pre-commissioning activities as such as air blowing, steam blowing, leak test,
strength test. And final reinstatement prior to box up of equipment.
Inspect flushing, air blowing and steam blowing activities to assist pre-commissioning.

Implement, Develop and maintain the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001:2000
Standard.
Monitor the implementation and maintenance of Project Quality Program as per Approved quality
plan.
Assist and provide input to the Project Management concerning qualification and number of site QA/QC
personnel.
Prepare and conduct Internal Quality Audit and External Quality Audit on departments, projects,
subcontractors, vendors and suppliers.
Monitor Project Quality System through Site QA/QC personnel.
Preparation/Review of inspection test plan in line with the contractual requirement.
Ensure and monitor all test/inspection are being performed by the concerned disciplines.
Witness inspection of purchased products at vendor facility and at site.
Review of Vendor fabricated/bought out items quality dossier.
Prepare/Review of equipment preservation procedure
Review procedures, method statements, calculations, reports and drawings submitted by Engineering
Department .Analyze & verify KPI (Key performance indicator) factor submitted by contractor on
monthly basis.
Conduct weekly Quality meetings with contractors quality department.
Communicate quality related issues with contractors through appropriate communication channels as
per project co-ordination procedure.
Issue NCR Non-conformance report in case of violation of Project procedure and properly close the NCR
as per NCR closure Procedure
Maintain punch list generated by IPMT engineers & co-ordinate with contractors Quality department
for speedy closure.
Implement turn over procedure and ensure all the documents submitted is in accordance with
approved system definition.
Reviewing of all documents submitted in turn over activities of each phase of the plant.
