* Ensure that commodity dispatches are based on pre-approved dispatch authorization memos from the Food Security Advisor.
* Prepare waybills for all outgoing commodities and obtains signature from truck drivers and/or other receiving authorities.
* Maintain an up-to-date commodity stock ledger in which all daily commodity inventories and transactions are accurately recorded.
* Maintain other necessary formats and commodity records such as stack cards, damaged commodity records, etc.
* Maintain proper filing system in which incoming and outgoing waybills and other correspondences are kept in numbered and retrievable order.
* Ensure that security guards assigned to his warehouse report to duty on the established routine schedules and remain vigilant while on duty.
* Ensure that warehouse staff such as checkers and assistant storekeepers is trained in proper warehouse practices and conform to SC commodity management policies and procedures.
* Ensure that ports/laborers handle commodities carefully to minimize losses.

* Prepare and submit to the main office all necessary reports as per field office policies and procedures. Submit a monthly consolidated commodity transactions report.
* Submit other reports, including: commodity loss reports, security related reports for incidents such as break-ins and theft cases, &cases of "force major" in case of fire/war.
* Prepare and submit reconciliation of book and physical balance reports and explanation of discrepancies.
