As a Mechanical Engineer on site responsible for
• Monitoring all mechanical system aspects of the Project to ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards and approved materials.
• Reviewing prequalification, material submittals, method statements, shop drawings, as-built drawings, O&M, spare parts & warranty list.
• Attending to Inspection Requests (IR's), material inspection request (MIR) submitted by the contractor and take appropriate action in a timely manner in accordance with specifications, quality standards and approved material submittal.
• Ensure that the quality of all Mechanical works carried out at the project site is as per the client's requirements and in compliance with the project quality plan (QPP) & Inspection Test Plan (ITP).
• Inspect mechanical parts, assemblies, and accessories prior to installation.
• Works closely with other team members to provide support and guidance as required.
• Liaising with Client representatives and management to flag and rectify any issues which may arise.
• Preparing Daily / Weekly Progress of Inspection / Site Progress Reports, snag list.
• Maintaining records for daily activities on site including progress photos and ensure they are readily available for inspection as and when required.
• Expedition of approvals from the contractor if it appears to be stalled or delaying the Project.
• Supporting Sr. Mechanical Manager to review the Mechanical technicalities, Shop Drawings, Material Submittal, Mechanical Calculations, and Technical issues.
• Expediting of NOCs from relevant authorities (Marafeq district cooling / Marafeq Gas/ Lusail Developer/ Qatari Diar) if they appear to be stalled or in delay.
• Reporting any works carried out by contractor found to not be in accordance with approved drawing and specifications and report to stakeholders for appropriate action.
• Preparing Site Observation report for deficiencies of work found at site and non-conformance reports (NCR) if required in view of the development of events.
• Review and monitor variations to the work to mitigate time and cost impacts for any required changes.
• Review & Provide information/Confirmation to QS regarding contractor’s claim.
• Assist tagging & project handing over dossier against contract drawings and specifications, local codes and statutory requirements and international standard methodology.
• Monitoring quality of works and assess the safety at site including health and environmental issues, ensuring compliance with contractual / QCS specifications and safety and health risk assessments.
• Checking and ensure effective co-ordination between discipline related works and all other disciplines.
• Providing technical input and experiences to resolve any discipline related issues on site that may arise.
As a Mechanical Engineer on site responsible for
• Inspection and verification that mechanical works are performed in accordance with the Project requirements.
• Inspections carried out on HVAC, Drainage and Plumbing Services, Fire protection System.
• Material inspection for MEP materials according to approved material submittal.
• Preparing Technical document such as Material submittals, method statements, Inspection Test Plan and Risk Assessment.
• Coordinated with procurement and site storage team for the material inspection to be raised.
• Coordinated with document controller for the preparation of site inspection schedule (SIS).
• Prepare the daily progress report and forward to the project manager.
• Closely coordinated with draftsman for the preparation of shop drawings & coordination
As a Mechanical Engineer on site responsible for
• Attend to Work inspection Request (IR), Material Inspection Request (MIR), Witness & approval all Mechanical Testing & Commissioning and Specialized System Testing & Commissioning.
• Review & approval of Shop Drawings, As-Built Drawings, Operations & Maintenance Manuals, etc
• Review of Handing Over Documents, Snagging & De-snagging Works for Project Handing Over, etc
• Issuing Field Memo and Non-Conformance Report,
• Preparing Daily / Weekly Progress of Daily Inspection / Site Progress Report,
• Providing technical input and experiences to resolve any discipline related issues on site that may arise.
• Review & Provide information/Confirmation to QS regarding work progress percent accomplishment,
As a Mechanical Engineer on site responsible for
• Work inspection request (WIR) and material inspection request (MIR) for all mechanical system,
• Preparing Technical document such as Material submittals, method statements, Inspection Test Plan and Risk Assessment, Operations & Maintenance Manuals, handing over documents etc.
• Preparing Weekly Site Progress Report,
• Attended the CAPA meetings for the NCR, and SOR issued by consultant.
• Attended the meeting with AREs to close out the issues found during inspection and pass the corrective information to site engineers,
• Coordinated with the sub-contractors and specialist for testing & commissioning activities of mechanical system.
• Coordinated for the start-up of AHU, FAHU, FCU, VRV-DX, CRAH & CRAC, Smoke extraction fan, pressurization fan, Smoke curtain, air curtain, sliding door, roller shutter, exhaust fan, booster pumps, chilled water pumps and fire pumps
Plans the execution of all Mechanical related works and coordinates the works accordingly with all safety norms. Submits site daily reports, inspection requests, estimates and all applicable monitoring reports on regular basis or as required. Supports the site manager in accomplishing all the goals and targets for the Mechanical groups at site. Ensures that all site works are done according to all applicable quality standards. Attends regular meeting with client, civil engineers and consultant to provide update on project progress. Inspections carried out on Fire Water Network, Potable water Network, Service water, sewage. Able to lead site personnel to execute and completion of job on time at site
Mechanical Engineer with a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree from Kerala University in India
