I am Manager Learning & Talent Development with Emaar Group Middle East and Africa. In my current role, I led the Learning and Development function for 7 Business Units in Emaar Properties. Prior to this stint, I was leading key accounts for IBM India and MEA and India CRM accounts in India and UAE for 9 years.
I am a certified Emotional Intelligence®, Vital Signs® and DISC ® assessment coach, which I use for leadership coaching.
Learning and Development services include Soft Skills Training content design, E Learning development and learning material localization and Leadership coaching.
I was on deputation to IBM Dubai to set up the Learning and Development COE for one of the biggest bank in the region (Emirates NBD).
My role was to set up a non existing Learning and Talent Development vertical for Emirates NBD's Shared services unit with a headcount of 2300+ resources.
This included talent acquisition, on boarding and training delivery for Tanfeeth and its shared services operations unit. I Managed a team of 8 Lead Trainers and 2 Assistant Managers at the client site, to design and deliver the Learning Roadmap for existing staff and Talent Solutions for Emirati Nationals (Emiratisation).
Launched the LMS/CMS to facilitate content localization and content development as per the ADDIE principles of Instructional design.
Created multiple channels of Blended Learning approach, through e-learning and development centres. I was also involved in the 'Go To' market strategy for IBMs Learning and Development Solutions team. This included designing bespoke Learning solutions for key clients in the region such as Emirates NBD Securities, Roads and Transport Authority and Emirates Islamic Bank.
I also led the ERP launch and SAP implementation module for UAE Armed forces, which included designing learning project plan and delivering the budgeted learning road map for Emirati Nationals in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Using my Instructional design skill set I also revamped the content for sales training for Emirates NBD Bank and Emirates Islamic Bank's call centre operations, responsible for all sales operations out of Sharjah and Dubai.
Performance Management and designing talent management solutions for Emirati Nationals was also my key deliverable to create a pipeline of SMEs and engagement activities for Emirati Nationals.
With 9 years of experience in IBM, I have garnered immense experience in designing learning solutions and delivery of talent management initiatives. My role in the organisation progressed from an Individual contributor role to a people manager for a team of 34 trainers and Deputy Managers Learning and Development.
I started of as a Lead Trainer, and was responsible for all Soft Skills training imparted at Talent Transformation Business Unit. These resources were then deployed to different lines of business units in IBM, National Capitol Region.
My KRA was to train these resources of Voice and Accent, Soft Skills and Culture module for US, UK, geographies with a healthy target of Competency conversion and throughput %.
In 2007 I was promoted as an Assistant Manager and starting leading the L&D function for Virgin Media Telecom (U.K.) where my core deliverable was to performance manage a process of 1300+ resources, cull out the Training needs analysis and create training curriculum as per the their learning needs.
In 2009 I was promoted as a Deputy Manager and then led a team of Instructional designers and content developers for Citibank, North America (Retail Banking).
In 2010 I was sent on a deputation to Cairo, to create learning strategy for ITIDA, Ministry of Higher Education, Egypt.
My role was to develop a Learning strategy for outsourcing skills in Alexandria and Cairo University. This included content development, project management and collaborating with the officials from the Ministry.
Starting 2011, I was leading Talent Management initiatives for Ministry of Tourism in Manila, Philippines. The core deliverable was to create a competency framework and competency mapping for CSRs
