The company formed in 1994 is a subsidiary of the re-insurer ARIG and provides a wide variety of warranty products and services in the GCC region and beyond. Reporting directly to the AGM/Country Manager.
Responsibilities :
• Establishing the finance department from scratch, formulating departmental policies, devising operational flow and overseeing accounting functions across 5 regions.
• Formulating financial strategies, interpreting financial information, performing business forecasting, budgeting, monitoring performance and efficiency of financial models.
• Analyzing change and budgetary variances, formulating long-term business plans in addition to researching and reporting on factors influencing business performance.
• Managing all accounting and financial operations of the company, interacting with other insurance companies, brokers and auto-dealers to expedite the warranty and claims payments.
• Preparing MIS reports and integrated financial statements on a monthly basis, performing risk management and devising strategies to reduce the company's financial exposure and increase profitability.
The company is a joint venture between Grant Thornton International Ltd and Abdulaal Gulf Audit and caters to broad spectrum financial and audit services for a top notch clientele.
Responsibilities :
• Served as a team leader and rendered expertise on key audit issues to team members working on different audit assignments across the organization and accompanied the team on visits as required.
• Oversaw all elements of audit assignments undertaken, identified key issues, developed evaluation criteria, analyzed evidence obtained, documented client processes and procedures.
• Handled the functions of accounting, MIS and reporting independently, supervised the finalization of accounts and conducted both internal and external audits.
• Conducted regular interviews, performed documentary reviews, administered surveys and approved work papers.
• Developed and maintained productive client and staff relationships through individual contacts and group meetings in addition to ensuring compliance to all established audit procedures.
The company is chiefly engaged in the import and exports of fruit and vegetables. Reported directly to the CFO of the company.
Responsibilities :
• Developed and implemented branch wide accounting practices and ensure that proper controls and procedures are established for tracking all financial transactions routed through the branch.
• Spearheaded the development of a robust system to ensure smooth and accurate month end finalization of the branch's integrated financial statements and reviewed reconciliations to be done.
• Confirmed that corporate policies relating to submission of invoices, trade creditors, inventory and accounting are properly followed in addition to tracking non-compliance and report on continuing default.
• Provided vital branch accounting support to the company's field operations in the areas of general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, expense reports and purchase orders.
