In response to the conflict in Syria, Global Communities-Turkey/Syria mission was implementing programs (funded byOFDA/USAID, GIZ, UN) to assist conflicted-affected Syrians through such projects like SHELTER/Engineering, WASH, Sanitation & Hygiene, Food Security & Agriculture, Protection (protecting women, girls and children & Youth Empowerment). As HR Manager, I oversaw all HR operations for 650 staff of Global Communities-Turkey/Syria mission (150 million budget) in the areas of personnel management (recruitment, staff development, and performance management), policy and procedures, record keeping, contractual and legal matters, and implementation of HR administrative system; was responsible for employee-agency relation activities, as well as staff grievances; worked closely with Ethic and Compliance office to investigate filed complaints/allegations; was a focal point in HR operations start-up and close-out process. Lead and managed (directly and indirectly) HR staff of ten.
