● Inspections & monitoring on fabrication shops and on board FPSO Vessels for piping spools fabrication, erections, line walk, pressure testing, reinstatement, punch closure, tri-party walk down and final system hand over.
● Ensure that the work is carried out as per the requirements of International Codes and standards and project specification.
● Material inspection and review of material test certificate (MTC)
● Maintaining the welder/welder operator continuity records.
● Stage wise inspection before, during and after fabrication.
● Witnessing and reviewing of all equipments, gauges and tools calibration and their
Documentation.
● Daily checking the welding consumable, main stores and their documents.
● Verification of as built drawings and submitting to the client for approval.
● Routine inspections of fit up visual inspections of piping systems as per the RFI on fab shops and on board vessel.
● Preparation & reviewing of Piping Test Packs, weld traceability and ensuring the required NDT are carried out for piping systems as per the requirements.
● Perform line walk on pipe systems as per the test pack limits and producing punch list.
● Punch list closure and releasing for the pressure test.
● Witnessing of pressure test/air test and ensuring the required test pressure is maintained throughout the holding time. Also, verifying all the “A” punches are cleared before starting the pressure up.
● Reinstatement inspections of the pipeline and ensuring the entire hydro test removable are replaced and the punches are closed.
● Stage wise inspection of painting before, during and after completion of process.
● Responsible for painting inspection and inspection of surface preparation of steel prior to painting application.
● Check calibration certificate for all painting inspection equipment.
● Continuous monitoring of welder performance and verifying the job is carried out by the qualified welders.
● Performs visual checks after blasting.
● Preparations and arrangement of documents as per the final documentation procedure and submitting to Owner and the Class for approval.
-PIPING:
* Review of Project Specification and requirements.
* Identification of Codes and Standard requirements.
* Review the Inspection Test Plan, WPS/PQR/WPQR, QC procedures and relevant QC
documents.
* Checking and verifying revisions to drawings and to preparing weld map.
* Selecting the suitable WPS & PQR and Ensuring that welders are qualified and certified
to perform the necessary welding activities
* Responsible for the quality implementation of Project Quality System regarding welding
activities in contract project.
* Inward inspection of raw materials as per ASME sec II Part A& B (ferrous and non-
ferrous respectively).
* Attends INTERNAL meetings on production quality related matters.
* Attends weekly safety meetings
* In-process inspection of all the stages during fabrication.
* Ensuring NDE is performed as required for welded joints.
* Witness all NDT tests performed on welds and to interpret radiographic films and
evaluate PT, MT.
* Commissioning activities like Light up, Refractory Dry out, Alkali Boil out, Safety
valve floating.
* Carefully organized, analyzed and prepared technical data reports to ensure proper
workflow and productivity.
* Review all systems like coal feeding system, ash drainage system, cooling water system.
* Execution of structure, pressure path, APH, duct, Cyclone, Bunker,
Fans & ESP as per drawing and standards.
* Preparing hydro test & Pneumatic test procedure as per ASME sec. VIII Div.1 and Leak
test as per ASME Sec. V & witnessing the test
* Commissioning activities like Light up, Refractory Dry out, Alkali Boil out, Safety
valve floating.
* Final Dimension Inspection.
* Participating in Internal Quality Audits
* Monitoring calibration status of Welding Machines, Inspection tools, Pressure gauges
and NDE Equipment’s.
* Implementation of QC procedure as per ISO norms and standards.
* Planning and execution of the jobs as per the project schedule &Review of daily
progress and prepare action plan removing backlogs.
* Carefully organized, analyzed and prepared technical data reports to ensure proper
workflow and productivity.
* Coordinating with all departments and client / consultant for all activities right from
finalization of technical specifications, project scheduling, procurement, supply,
progress monitoring, erection, and commissioning and site management as per schedule.
* Coordinating project based team meeting for project review, monitoring project
progress, resolving issues and status reporting of progress to top management and end
user clients.
* Planning, Monitoring & Controlling site activities.
• Inward inspection of raw materials with its material test certificates for pressure parts as per ASME sec. II Part A& B.
• Monitor and verify that the work execution and implementation are as per approved Procedures, specification & drawings.
• In process inspections of Super-Heater, Re-heater, Economizers Coil, Water wall Panels and Header during fabrication.
• Witnessing and reviewing of WPS & PQR as per code and specification.
• First off trial prepared for tube bending to find out the parameters related to ovality, thinning and flow area.
• Inspection of layout dimensions as per approved drawings bends profile checking on the same.
• Welding inspection
o Visual inspection.
o Conducting NDT methods (LPI and MT).
o Reviewing and interpretation of Radiographic films
• Review all NDT reports to meet the project requirements as per acceptance standards.
• To ensure the fit-up stage, in process and final inspection of welding.
• Witnessing of Positive Material Identification and to review reports.
• Review of heat treatment chart.
• Witnessing Hydro and Pneumatic test for pressure parts to meet applicable procedure.
• Preparing dimensional reports, visual and final inspection reports as per the drawing
