My Project: SOCAR Star Refinery, Petkim Petro Kimya and Stad Facilities Aliağa/İzmir
• Repair and renewal type works in electrical, instrumentation disciplines.
• Performs procurement, prefabrication, construction and commissioning under individual work packages (more than 50 packages up to now) that take place at STAR, STAD and PETKİM Facilities operated by SOCAR in Aliağa / İzmir.
• The overall coordination of the relevant procurement, construction and commissioning work processes and reports as part of the project management team to the Project Manager.
• Develop the electrical, Instrumentation, ICSS & Telecom sub-system boundaries by marking up the SLDs and compilation of the electrical, Instrumentation, ICSS & Telecom sub-system list
• Populate, verify and update the mechanical completions database, ensuring any discrepancies are raised via TQ and resolved with Engineering
• Review and update the ITRs & FTRs for the Electrical and I&C discipline
• Take part in Engineering reviews for the Electrical and I&C discipline
• Liaise with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, QA/QC & Operations within the organization for the Electrical and I&C discipline in all aspects of preparation & execution
• Coordination with other Superintendents on cross-discipline issues, scheduling, execution and handovers
• Ensure all FAT/SATs are attended and review and update reports, both internal & Vendor’s
• Attend the Daily Meetings, report all activities, progress and areas of concern to the Project Manager
• Attend all PTW & SIMOPS meetings

• Organized the preparation of the Technical Document Register (TDR), identify requirements and scope of work; review specifications Process Data Sheets (PDS), Piping Material Specifications (PMS), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s), Plot plans, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, Review Philosophies, Area Classification Drawings, Fire and Gas Detector Layout Drawings and other relevant documents. Establish contract review criteria, identify and resolve discrepancies and divergences from original proposal through the instigation of technical queries to projects/client.

• Participated in HAZOP meeting and undertake SIL studies with client and representatives of other engineering disciplines.

• Coordinated to all construction team members activities and related construction discipline and ensured they are produced to the correct level of quality and in accordance with the contract requirements and approved project plans
• Reviewed/Checked all electrical & instrument drawings and documents. Ensured engineering design quality and technical accuracy of drawings together with 2D/3D models, material quantities, requisition, specification, calculations and procedures are as per requirement.
• Attended project inter-discipline reviews and progress meetings and also assist in the preparation of project control reports. Develop and ensure interaction with other disciplines.
• Ensured that construction drawings have been implemented as refer to project standard and specification, To ensure that the generated construction drawings are in line with the project construction schedule. To liaise with the QA/QC department whether installation method and installation material for the project is as per the generated installation drawings and to the material specification.
• Supervised the execution of construction and commissioning activities related to Electrical and I&C disciplines for the project (with regard to procedures, quality, HSE, cost and schedule optimization) to the full satisfaction of Operations.

• Determined method of construction, labor needs, material quantities, equipment needs, temporary power sources, and work schedule
• Monitored work performance and productivity of craft sub-contractors as assigned to ensure project rules, procedures, and safety requirements are maintained
• Advised construction manager of potential problems and assist in resolution
• Maintained communication with project staff, engineering, and supply chain management to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule
• Assisted in the reporting of the job’s progress to the Project Manager; maintain communication with other departments as required.
