- Articulating specification issues to facilitate easy sourcing
- Developing a Budget and enforcing control measures
- Carrying out quarterly stock takes and handling all Audit issues
Accomplishments
-Improved stakeholder relationships within the first three months through conducting routine meetings and sharing reports
-Personally monitored the stock of show stoppers and ensured 100% availability
-Reduced stock variances from 5% to 0.02% and disposed of redundant stock worth $2.5m
Zimasco Kwekwe is in the Business of Smelting Chrome ore to Ferrochrome

-Reviewed stock levels from 24 months cover down to 2 months cover thereby increasing Working Capital by $1.3m

-Transformed Stores from a 3 star operation to a 5 star operation on SHE Issues within a year
Sandvik Mining and Construction is in the business of supplying mining equipment, services and spares throughout the region

- Managing the stores function and accounting for inventory
- Handling Financial, QA and SHE Audits for stores
-Coordinating with Finance on Accounts payable issues

-Designed and implemented Standard Operating Procedures for stores
-Introduced monthly stock takes from bi-annual and reduced stock variances to 0.02%
-Led the department into achieving an award in Quality Assurance ISO 9000 in 2004.
-Championed the MIMS computer system implementation and trained staff across the board
