• Driving implementation of HSE management system, Developing HSE plan, HSE internal auditing to assess the gap in the system, Incident Investigation of incidents and proposing CAPA to prevent recurrence
• Data analysis on EHS performance (leading and lagging indicator) and driving the company management through analyzed data for continual improvement of organization’s safety culture
• Set the objectives and target, implement and monitor action plan to achieve HSE objective and target
• Monitoring HSE compliance related actions within time frame for zero non-conformances.
• Facilitating and executing SHE awareness campaign, motivational program.
• Preparation of Training modules and development of safety competence level of line function managers on EHS matters through arrangement of training based on “Training need analysis”
• Qualitative & Quantative Risk assessment, aspect impact assessment.
• Developing HSE requirements for contractor, Reviewing HSE plan, preparing HSE documents for bidding, setting requirement for contractor selection
• Coordinating with site HSE officers for daily update on HSE aspects, preparation of safety flash report and tool box topics
• Maintaining and carrying out the emergency preparedness sytstem and procedures by developing emergency procedure, conducting mockdrills, identifying the gaps and developing action plan to overcome.

• To advice and assist the line function managers in complying with all safety and occupational health regulation and company’s standard and procedure
• To plan and conduct Contractor Field Safety Audit
• Identifying the hazard by conducting safety inspection work place & bringing the same to the notice of the contractor & ensuring the compliance of same
• To build the safety competence of engineers & contractors by imparting training for engineers & contractor employee
• To prepare budget for safety activities for the financial year
• To prepare HSE statistics & reports
• To do analysis of unsafe acts / unsafe condition / incidents and to provide recommendation for improving safety performance
• To hold the meeting of safety committees of Tata Power and providing feedback for improving safety performance.
• To review the safety plan submitted by the vendor & prepare safety terms & condition for contract documents
• To Conduct Vendor Evaluation for contract award & monitoring Post Contract Procedure
• To carry out safety promotional activities and to promote the Reward & Recognition for engineers & workers
• Conducting mock drill to check the effectiveness & lapses in emergency plan
• To advice purchase dept. regarding the quality of the personal protective equipment’s conforming to the national standards.
• To review the JSA submitted by the contractor & providing the inputs if required
• To communicate the company policy / standards & procedures to the contractors
• Ensuring the legal & regulatory bodies compliance
• To carry out investigation of all incidents and to provide CAPA

• To conduct safety training (induction & job specific)& tool box talks
• To ensure all the lifting tools & tackles are inspected & checked
• To conduct inspection of all equipment’s, power operated hand tools, labour camp etc.
• To promote the working of site safety committee
• To check the implementation of tool box talk meeting
• To identify Unsafe Condition & Unsafe acts and rectify them on site
• To conduct meetings with Site In charge & engineers to tackle the issues which are not attended.
• To organise campaigns, competitions, contests and other activities to develop and maintain the interest of building workers in establishing and maintaining safe conditions of work and procedures
• To conduct safety walk through with Project Manager
• To make Emergency plan & Rescue Plan
• To ensure the audit issues are addressed and closed within stipulated time
• To assist the site team to carry out the testing of air, noise monitoring, water testing & illumination level
• To assist line function managers in preparing aspect impact register and ensuring the implementation of same.
