Duties / Responsibilities.
● Puts into place quality assurance procedures to ensure that procedures for review and inspection of installations are maintained throughout the project period.
● Reviews materials and equipment to ensure that they are in accordance with the specifications. Coordinate with the senior mechanical engineer and obtain their comments prior to action.
● Reviews shop drawings to ensure that they are in accordance with the design and that they are coordinated. Where applicable.
● Reviews method statements to ensure that the Contractor proposal is feasible and will achieve the intended purpose.
● Inspects deliveries/installed/constructed work to ensure that it is in accordance with the shop drawings and the specifications.
● Meets with Local Authorities along with Contractor where required and attend site visits by Local Authorities in order to clarify ambiguities and queries to facilitate a smooth approval process.
● Responds to Contractor's request for information to clarify ambiguities.
● Review and approve Contractor's payment in line with estimated work completion so that he can be paid for the actual work done.
● Reviews and approve Contractor's change order request and variation so that legitimacy and extent can be confirmed. Prepare and issue job site instructions for new works and modifications to the tender contract.
● Attends regular meetings with the Construction team, and the Client to report on progress and help resolve issues where they arise.
● Ensures that issues related to local codes, such as health and safety executives and environmental impact issues are complied with.
● Witnesses testing and commissioning and performance of various plant and systems. Issue 'Handing Over' certificate for completed works.
● Where required, provides a snag list for outstanding minor work by the contractor.
● Reviews 'As Built' drawings and 'Operation and Maintenance Manuals'.
● Where required, hold meetings with Operation and Maintenance staff for feedback and outstanding issues not yet completed by the Contractor. Only applicable if construction period overlaps with building operation.
● Snagging and de snagging inspections.

Msheireb Downtown Doha will become a new social and civic hub in the city center. QR20 billion project to redevelop, regenerate and conserve the historical downtown of Doha.

Duties / Responsibilities

● Mechanical site work inspections including (builders works, HVAC, drainage, water supply Fire Fighting, swimming pool etc.) as per approved shop drawings, specifications, installation detail drawings, method statements, inspection & test plan & applicable standards.
● Inspection of all delivered materials and equipment’s for whole project of all above mentioned services as per approved material submittals and specifications.
● Reviewing and commenting on workshop, builders works and as built drawings.
● Reviewing and commenting on material submittals, method statements, inspection & test plan.
● Regular site surveillance and issuance of NCR’s if installation is not as per shop drawings, specifications, method statements, installation detailed drawings & applicable standards, usage of unapproved materials
● Maintaining record of progress at site on daily basis and submitting site progress report weekly.
● Attending weekly qa/qc meetings with client and contractor and discussing about site issues, NCR, quality etc.
● Preparation of snagging, incomplete works, items not installed, NCR not closed.
● Attending meetings with suppliers related to delivered material issues.

Project Information

Al Bahr Towers is an award-winning development in the emirate of Abu Dhabi consisting of two 29-storey. The distinguishing feature of the iconic towers is their protective skin of 2, 000 umbrella-like glass elements that automatically open and close depending on the intensity of sunlight. Al Bahr Towers is dynamically controlled by a building management system adjustable shades help reduce interior heat gains caused by sunlight by around 50 percent.\[2\] The eco-friendly towers are one of the first buildings in the Gulf to receive the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver rating. They were placed second at the Emporia Skyscraper Award - the world's premier honorary event for high-rise architecture - for projects completed in 2012. The development has also been featured on the Chicago-based Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat's "Innovative 20" list of buildings that "challenge the typology of tall buildings in the 21st century.

The Project includes all services and systems including water and air cooled chilled water system, chilled potable water, fire suppression, domestic cold, hot & non potable water, BMS, supply & exhaust fans, kitchen fire suppression, kitchen equipment’s, Solar hot water, FM-200, Foam suppression, data centre rooms landscaping and irrigation.

Project also includes, resturants, auditorium, mosques etc.
