Responsible for designing completions, preparing procedures, cost estimates, and other documentation, and working with field supervisors during implementation, also responsible for leading efforts in Health, Environment, and Safety (HES).
•Responsible overall for execution for well interventions and abandonment activities with wireline, electric line, coil tubing, pumping, Rig less, and Hydraulic Workover Unit.
•Reviews and understands all programs.
•Initiates management of change, and contingency plans.
•Provides direction to on-site personnel on all aspects of concentric completions, well interventions and abandonment activities on a daily basis.
•Ensures all the operations are conducted in accordance with sound engineering practices and compliance with all environment and safety laws and regulations.
•Reviews on-going operations daily and advises Field Manager on progress and risks associated with job scopes or changes in scope.
•Ensures management of change processes are in place, understood and functioning throughout the course of all operations.
•Analysis feasibility of changing needs or changes in work requests and communicates with Field Managers regarding risk factors to consider and engages fully in the development and execution of hazard and operations study or risk assessment activities.
•Proactively initiates discussions to address job scope changes
•Continuous improvement, both operationally and in HES issues, will require much interaction with Asset Team members, other RP engineers, completion contractors and field personnel.
•Research, understand and interpret cost drivers and risks associated with various completion procedures and utilize appropriate resources to implement safe and efficient completions of new wells.
•Provide safety leadership throughout completion operations and well intervention. Participate in or lead incident investigations, vendor visits, or safety meetings as required.
•Act as company focal point for tenders and quotations and actively pressure new business opportunities by direct interface with clients and Obtain quotations from vendors and technically evaluate all alternatives.
•Work closely with workshop supervisor to ensure assembly, testing and spare parts are ordered as required
