• Assuring the quality & accuracy of different types of steel products like, coils, rebar, flat steel & long steel products.
• Visual inspection & controlling the correct thickness and size of steel by using such tools like Micrometer.
• Updating the measurement and the condition of the steel products through SAP system.
• Avoiding deviation of steel products and coordinate with operations to eliminate risk assessment and lose of resources.
• Follow up with operations & discuss with them to ensure the integrity &, reliability of products to meet the requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Radiographic testing of vents, drains and shop welds.
• Interpretation & evaluation of radiographic films.
• Preparing annually requirements of vents and drains survey for onshore & offshore.
• Familiar with both piping drawings Isometrics & P&ID.
• Visual inspection for the onshore & offshore scrapers.
• Assigned as NDT technician for Risk Based Inspection (RBI) to ensure plant integrity, reliability and inspection strategies for piping & pressure vessels.
• Familiar with On-Stream Inspection (OSI) of piping and corrosion surveys.
• Performed pipe scanning by using magnetic flux leakage (MFL) for pipelines.
