As the IT Project Manager and System Administrator at Alma Global & Modern Power Marine Services Ltd, I was responsible for managing and supporting the company's IT systems, applications, and services. In this role, I led large-scale projects, including the design and deployment of new IT and non-IT systems and services. I also managed the offshore projects and teams and ensured the timely delivery of deliverables.
To fulfill my responsibilities, I analyzed business requirements and developed solutions for IT needs. Additionally, I was accountable for maintaining the company network, which included Cisco routers and switches. I also managed and mentored Cisco IP telephony, troubleshooting and installing new units if needed.
In addition, I am responsible of the company biding management (creating and overseeing a bid, details, its costs, and persuasive proposal) beside I have operated and managed various portals for the company, including ARAMCO portal, SWCC portal, SME portal, and KJO portal, all of which used SAP systems. I was also responsible for backing up all email and account systems on a weekly basis and maintaining all normal and network printers within the company departments.
To ensure the company's system was online 24/7, I coordinated with third-party companies that provided services such as point-to-point connection between branches and internet connection. Lastly, I managed the company's firewall and antivirus software, specifically Symantec.
As the Project Manager for RFID Solutions, I was responsible for managing and handling all aspects of RFID and IoT projects, including planning projects and resources, finding suitable solutions to meet project values, and analyzing and managing project risks. My experience in handling RAIN RFID Technology and solution partners allowed me to successfully implement and manage RFID Asset Management and Retail Management Systems. Additionally, I have experience with RFID Solution Partners such as Mojix, SmartX, and 7iD.
In my role, I was also responsible for managing Vizix SaaS platform in Microsoft Azure, as well as managing the activities of application servers hosted for RFID services both on-prem (client-side) and on Azure. I monitored the progress of middleware servers for client integrations with legacy ERP solutions, and controlled the time management of executing Inventory, Asset, and Retail RFID software and other products.
To ensure the smooth operation of IT systems and applications, I managed and supported the company's IT systems, applications, and services. I led IT projects and implemented new IT systems and services, monitoring performance of IT systems and making recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure. I also assessed vendors and developed strategies for new hardware and software procurement, while managing the inventory of hardware and software and ensuring compliance with license agreements. Furthermore, I trained new users in the basics of system and application usage, organized and motivated a project team who handheld applications and other RFID based products.
