Islamic Banking: Handling Islamic Banking legal issues. Draft and review contracts, developing standard agreements.

Contract: Contributing in negotiating documentation relevant to Islamic financing transactions and highlighting any associated legal risks on such transactions.
Effectively draft and lead negotiations of contracts for all internal clients to minimize risk and legal implications and maximize legal rights for the group. Review status of laws and regulations to ensure legal contracts and agreements are in line with the existing laws/regulations.
Contributing in standardizing contracts, developing standard agreements and to the approval of new activities, products, complex and cross border transactions (with emphasis on Corporate and Trade Finance).
Advisory: Lead other legal counsels to provide advice and provide consultation in business transaction matters on day to day issues that require legal assistance including interpreting Laws, rulings and regulations.

Dispute & Settlement: Handle various types of litigation to successfully defend and settle. Pursue all Group’s legal cases and disputes before courts, arbitration and amicable settlements to protect Group's image and interests. Support the legal counsel in difficult and formidable cases.

Support: Provide expert and strategic legal advice to management in setting internal governance policies. Deal with complex, significant matters that cut across legal areas to guide the Senior Management and stakeholders to navigate the Group safely around areas of legal risk in its business. Developing awareness and training programs on legal risk aspects.

Litigation, Consult and counsel with external legal counsels in law firms in UAE and outside of UAE. Consulting on all legal issues & Research of various legal and legislative Cases. Develop formulas for governance policies and procedures.
Policy & Procedures: Participate in the development of policies and standard operating procedures to coordinate the legal engagements with senior management, internal clients and external counsels.

New legislations: Oversee and support the legal team with current status of law by investigating gaining insight with the regulatory bodies.

Undertaking relevant legal research and studies.
