Work Description:

• Study the tender documents such as drawings, specifications and bill of Quantity.
• Prepare materials take off.
• Floating Enquiries, analyze quotations, make Technical and commercial comparisons.
• Pricing and estimating projects
• Build up very wide mechanical and electrical supplier list for various systems in KSA.
• Awareness of the latest mechanical systems and applications by means of seminars and catalogues
In later stage after we awarded the project and as a cost control engineer I have to :
• Review of all LPO’s for further verification in all terms, to make sure that the same is processed as per policy.
• The review the cost to complete & to ensure that all purchases are within the approved budget.
• To make sure that the ordered material/fixed assets items are available in the local central stores.
• Review the technical part of Purchase Orders, to avoid purchasing un approved material.
• To coordinate with Project Managers and all concerned that Budget Adjustments are properly processed.
• Review and monitor CTC with each individual Project Manager.
• To Provide the Finance Manager with the required feedback for the company’s Budget.
• To ensure that take off for the IFC drawings is conducted at site in coordination with site team to ascertain that the quantities of materials will be purchased at proper project requirements and then to avoid having extra surplus material.
• Coordinate with Projects team for the reconciliation between pre and post contract documents.
• To coordinate with procurement department at the early stage of the project to have the maximum possible assessment of material available in the central stores utilized in the project throughout proper material submission process.
•Interfacing with Procurement, Engineering, and Finance Departments. Prepares and processes input to the cost control system for all cost reports.
