Project Detail: EPCC of Power Generation Facility (4-GTGs) at Das Island (Installation of new power plant with 128MW capacity at estimated cost of $ 306M and EPC duration of 33 months)

Challenged to coordinate with Project Manager the effective implementation and monitoring of Look Ahead-Schedule Including the project actual accomplishments. Prepare tender schedule, Deployment plans, S Curve and Progress Monitoring Systems

Advice Senior Management and clients regarding the status of the project based on the schedule updates & feedback from the sites
Assist Senior management in designing and implementing a system for planning and monitoring ongoing Projects and proposals
Develop and monitor control logs in accordance with project schedule. Prepare presentations and participate in weekly project review / schedule meetings
Prepare planning package which includes resource loaded baseline schedule, Progress Monitoring System, Commodity Curves
Assemble and analyze project progress costs and man-hours including planned, actual, and forecast figures.
Develop, manage, and execute all phases of the projects control effort (planning, scheduling, progress performance and cost analysis)
Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance to project for the resolution of difficult and complex project control problems
Coordinate staffing requirements, assigns and supervises project work activities and trains personnel

• Plateau Maintenance Project (PMP is an upgrade of existing Qatar Gas 1, gas treating/sulphur facilities to maintain the processing of 1720 MMSCFD of feed gas with a H2S content of max 2% mol)

Prime Responsibilities:
• Own and complies with the Descon’s policies
• Prepare planning package for retrofit projects (EPCC)
• Updating program master schedule on daily/weekly basis by using Progress Override
• Producing the manpower and equipment Histograms and generation of corresponding progress S-Curve
• Prepared & implemented progress monitoring formats for DPMS (DESCON Progress Monitoring System)
• Monitoring & Analysis of Daily, Weekly & Monthly Reports & preparation of Comparison reports with Base line Schedule
• Identify well in advance the bottle necks in achieving the planned progress and to propose corrective actions to recover or minimize the slippage
• Develop Action and Recovery plans to support project delivery on time
• Monthly progress status presentation using the following project performance measuring tools
- S Curve - Schedule Variance
- Efficiency - Schedule Performance Index
- Cost Variance - Estimate at Completion
- Cost Performance Index - Variance at Completion
• Engage in the mitigation strategy to minimize the potential risk/ bottlenecks and delays
• Integrate the concerns & conflicts with relative departments

• Prepared resource loaded schedule for Train 3 shutdown of Qatar Gas and Tie ins during normal Operation
- Craft wise resource loading - Live review of resources
• Successfully completed assignment as shutdown coordinator
• Successfully completed 6 nos of retrofit jobs in plant maintenance as a project leader

Prime Responsibilities:
• Own and complies with the EKL’s policies.
• Prepare project schedule based on the scope of work and contractual requirements.
• Prepare Payment Certificates on approved format corresponding to the project
• Monitor the contractor's performance from a planning perspective (schedule development, progress measurement and analysis of progress statistics to ensure any deviations from plan are correctly reported and that solutions are derived and implemented etc)
• Review and analyse contractors planning schedules and reports to ensure accuracy and completeness and detect and manage trends/deviations to the current forecast
• Progress variance analysis (Baseline, current and mitigation).
• Prepare Daily, Weekly and Monthly reports for timely submission to client
• Critical path analysis (CPA) and recommendations
• Calculate the required resources i.e. Manpower, Tools and Plants, Consumable Materials and others
• Contract management (Change Orders, LDS, Time extension)
• Establish the tracking and monitoring system to align with EKL integrated system
• Prepare project budget, cost/ budgetary analysis, financial trends forecast and invoicing
• Support the Proposal dept. regarding the Planning & Scheduling, deliverables and others
