Responsible for the company Land Transport Safety
Provide advice on all aspects of the Algeria (L.T.M.S) Land Transport Management System to all agencies which come under the control of In Amenas Operations. Develop, wherever necessary, local standards, procedures and practices relating to Land transport for implementation within the In Amenas operation. Provide assurance to the In Amenas Operations management team that all operations And areas of influence are in compliance with the L.T.M.S. and any local standards, Procedures and practices.
Co-ordinate monthly safety checks for all vehicles operating/plant equipment / crane & Lifting equipment on site and ensure that I inspect the all equipment plant Dozer, backhoe, loader crane 50t Excavator all the type of vehicles light & heavy Ensure all cranes and lifting equipment and plant equipment shall be inspected by me And comply with safety rules (LTMS) All associated documentation has been completed.
Provide on-site driver training for anyone who in the opinion of management is required to drive as part of his/her daily duties. Training will include theoretical knowledge of defensive driving techniques along with practical assessments of the individual's driving ability to ensure they meet the minimum standards set out within the Algeria L.T.M.S.
Liaise with the Algeria Transport HSE Advisor when necessary regarding driver training to ensure a consistent approach on training practices throughout all Algeria Land Transport Operations. Consult and seek advice from the Algeria Transport HSE Advisor, whenever necessary, on any matter which might have an impact other Algeria Land Transport Operations. Carry out competency assessments for all drivers in all categories of vehicles being used on In Amenas Operations sites.
