Involved in various research field such a Virtual Reality, reverse engineering, micro manufacturing, etc. Main research area is the application of Virtual Reality in the field of manufacturing. Part of the team of Gazal-1 (First Saudi Designed Car).
Worked as a Graduate Engineer Trainee in the department of Process Engineering for Power Plant Design. Part of the team for process design of a 660 MW power project.
Received full scholarship from King Saud University. Obtained Rank-1 in my batch. Dissertation: Developing a Virtual Environment for a Car Body: In the thesis, a virtual 3D prototype has been developed for the Saudi first designed car “Gazal-I”, with the help of CAD software and the 3D visualization software. Several issues like tessellation; conversion parameters optimization etc. has been investigated. The complete 3D model was explored in a semi-immersive virtual environment with head and hand trackers. The virtual model of Gazal-I was analyzed for its different aesthetics and design features. A brief ergonomics analysis of driver seat has been done. A virtual assembly training system was developed and assessed.
Received Central Government Merit Scholarship. Gold Medalist in my batch. Thesis: To Design a Two Stage Gear Reducer using CAD and Total Design Methodology: In the thesis a detailed analysis of designing a Two Stage Gear Reducer using Computer Aided Design (CAD) has been presented. C++ programs have been developed for the designing of a gear reducer’s shafts, bearings, gears, pulleys, belts and gear reducer casing. The model was then developed in Pro-e. Then the total design methodology tool i.e. failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) has been applied and finally the material selection is done by Weighted Property Method using digital logic gates and on the basis of their strength.
