Estimation Engineer | Prefabricated Buildings & Modular Construction

As an Estimation Engineer in a prefabricated building factory, I support the preparation of detailed cost estimates and pricing proposals for modular and prefabricated construction projects. My role bridges engineering, procurement, and project management, helping ensure competitive bids and accurate budgets that align with project specifications and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Develop and update cost estimates covering materials, labor, and equipment.
🔹 Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) to support procurement and ensure accuracy throughout project execution.
🔹 Analyze drawings and specifications to identify scope and cost implications.
🔹 Coordinate with procurement teams to obtain supplier pricing and support competitive bidding.
🔹 Track and compare actual project costs against estimates, assisting senior engineers in cost control and budget reporting.
🔹 Collaborate closely with project managers, design teams, and finance to keep estimates aligned with real project needs.
🔹 Participate in client and supplier meetings to deepen understanding of market conditions and technical requirements.

Tools & Skills:
✔ AutoCAD, Excel, ERP systems, and estimation software (with ongoing learning).
✔ Quantity take-offs, BOM preparation, and project cost tracking.
✔ Understanding of modular construction methods and prefabricated building systems.
✔ Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective cross-team collaboration.

This experience has helped me build a solid foundation in construction cost estimation and develop a practical understanding of how design, materials, and market dynamics shape project pricing. ❖ Support cost estimation and pricing development for MEP and modular construction projects
❖ Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and material takeoffs for labor, equipment, and materials
❖ Review technical drawings and specifications to define project scope and evaluate cost impacts
❖ Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to deliver accurate and
competitive bids
❖ Liaise with suppliers and vendors to obtain quotations and support budget alignment
❖ Prepare and review shop drawings using AutoCAD and Revit in accordance with project specifications and
standards
❖ Coordinate with consultants to address technical comments and resubmit drawings for approval
❖ Collaborate with design and finance teams to ensure alignment between technical requirements and project
budgets
❖ Contribute to delivering accurate engineering solutions and supporting efficient project execution

❖ Developed complete electrical design packages, including fire life safety, lighting, and power distribution
systems in compliance with applicable codes and standards using AutoCAD and Revit.
❖ Performed detailed system layouts and load distribution for fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, small
power, and ELV systems such as CCTV and access control.
❖ Produced coordinated design drawings, layouts, schematics, and detailed plans suitable for tendering,
construction, and authority submissions.
❖ Reviewed and responded to consultant and authority comments, ensuring all designs are optimized,
coordinated with other disciplines, and aligned with project requirements.
❖ Utilized a wide range of electrical design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, DIALUX, ETAP, and other
relevant analysis and calculation tools for load flow, short circuit, voltage drop, lighting, and system design.
