Hedging Trade
Based on the recap of trade and the physical movement, Hedging the positions and confirm the Trade with the agent.
Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) Positions Monitoring
To the extend of speculation control, position taking from ICE instead going thru agent trade, and control the position status
Margin and Hedging Inventory control
Margin management based on available equity and plan for position to be taken in future.
And control and monitoring of inventory lots against the physical movement.
In Accounts and Audit
Taxation and statuary management
To Manage Value added Tax for the group and file the return to FTA every interval as per the companies VAT schedule. Additionally manage the statuary audit team and manage the relevant documents.
Accounting monthly close and Financial audit
To understand the health of the company, the accounting month close is very significant which one of my prime duty. And External and Internal audit coordination with auditors with IFRS standards.
Inventory control
Inventory control is one of the most crucial process in order to get the right and accurate financial statements. Not only for financial statements but also it carries huge asset value.
I have experience on controlling inventory in both Weight average method and FIFO.
Receivable and payable management
Monitoring the receivable status and coordinating for the payment from the client. And managing the inflow to pay our suppliers within the time limit.
Insurance.
Reviewing the insurance policies and coordinate with the insurance company. Making a schedule for the insurance and negotiation with the insurance company for the cost deduction.
Apart from my normal activities in Finance and Accounts, highlighting some few achievements.
Internally, restated the previous financial reports and conclude the accurate stand of the company. The same has been explained to the shareholders thru power point presentation.
Implemented new system of work in progress which is technically adopted with IFRS standards. The same system has been structurally presented to the auditors and bankers. The new system has been used in the audit for the year 2012 and 2013.
Streamline the audit pending in Indian operations due to Tax issues for the year 2010, 11 and 12.
Apart from my normal activities in Finance and Accounts, highlighting some few achievements.
With my supervision and heading, we have implemented brand new ERP (JD Edwards) in Real estate and commodities division of the group without affecting the day to day activities of the divisions.
We have made a Tenancy master file in MS Excel for Real Estate division which is completely formulated and posted for many facilities. (i.e : The system will give Email to the concern staffs for renewal of the contract before contract expires.)
We did the audit with Ernst & Young for the year of 2010 and 2011 for Real Estate and commodities division. Proudly I am the team leader for the all those audits and officially my name has been assigned as leader to the auditors.
Apart from my normal activities in Finance and Accounts, highlighting some few achievements.
Constructed the entire accounts and finance department from the beginning and trained the complete accounts team for the procedures and policies.
Given structural presentation to the Kenyan bankers and we got bank facilities of USD 9 Mn including Overdraft of USD 1Mn.
Over the time, we made the existing facility to companied pool facility, so that it can be used without any sublimit limitations.
By using my MS-Excel expertise, we made a complete package for salary and wages. It has been used by all companies with in the zone. The package takes care from entry level to cost calculation.
