• Develop, implement and monitor EHS Policy, Programs and Procedures.
• Assist in complying with current health and safety legislation and/or programs with the objective of ensuring that all the reasonable and proper measures are taken to protect the safety and health of staff, visitors and assets.
• Establish budget proposals for the operation of EHS and specific training programs to increase health and safety awareness at all levels within the organization.
• Investigate and report on all serious/critical personal injury accidents occurring to staff and visitors to the appropriate senior level.
• Investigate all accidents/incidents that result in substantial damage to vehicles and property.
• Deliver the annual agreed EHS objectives and targets.
• Investigate and report on complaints of hazardous working condition (HAZOP study)
• Conduct as necessary the safety inspections of all SUNBULAH facilities and develop action plans to eliminate or minimize EHS risks.
• Conduct the trainings of personnel in areas of safety including firefighting, first aid, CPR, accident investigation and prevention, work place inspections and implementation of EHS procedures within the SUNBULAH business unit
• Coordinate and lead emergency procedures and assist executive staff, senior administrators, principals and supervisors in emergency preparedness & response.
• Achieve and maintain ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 external certifications certification for EHS management systems.
• Initiates, oversees or develops training programs, policies, workplace procedures and guidelines related to HSE management systems issues.
• To develop and implement “Permit to work” system in coordination with other departments to ensure safe completion of maintenance activities.
• To participate in internal safety and housekeeping audits.
• To participate in hygiene inspections.
• To carry out Annual IMS Internal Audits.
• Develops practical solutions to resolve HSE non-conformance issues and recommends courses of action.
• To monitor waste disposal (hazardous & non Hazardous) of plant as per environmental regulations.
• Develop periodic risk assessment, hazard assessment mechanisms.

• Providing Technical training, planning and coordination of Emergency Response exercises and participate as a key member of Emergency Response Groups.
• To organize with safe work attitude, must be safety conscious; performs housekeeping tasks in areas of responsibility to eliminate safety hazards and maintain a clean working environment.
• Carry out site accident investigation, fire prevention, hazard identification, and report to management.
• To participate in preparation of site safety plans and risk assessments as required.
• Keep all records and information on injuries, accident, incident, damages and construction loss. Determine the cause of accident and near misses incident and recommendation by means of preventing recurrence. Provision and implementation the use of personal protective equipment (P.P.E.) on all levels.
• Direct and co-ordinate the development and implementation of the Factory's Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) strategy & program.
• Recommend factory SHE objectives considering Market and Corporate objectives. Monitor and communicate on performance to improve decision making regarding SHE and to integrate SHE into business decisions.
• Implement, control, maintain and improve the Factory SHE Management systems including achieving and maintaining ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 certification
• Hazard/ Risk Assessment and its minimization to prevent environmental losses/accidents.
• Liaison with Environment Protection Department of the Punjab for EIA and IEE studies submission and NOCs/Approvals consultations with other stake holders i.e local communities and local NGO’s
