Project Engineer in SABIC as a Global Contract Employee, I have been working to deliver various multi-disciplinary projects that are on time & within allocated budget along with the quality & adherence to company's safety standards.
Utileco is a Spain based EPC co. providing detail design & Engineering, Commissioning, maintenance for process plants, oil/water treatment plants, some of my responsibilities in the company are:
•Review engineering drawings and documents, check material and equipment to meet specifications.
•Provide Engineering support in maintenance activities involving pumps and generators.
•Coordinate with the contractor for daily site activities, if required modifying design details.
•Technical assistance and support for the procurement of major equipment including shop and field visits as required.
•Review equipment supplier documentation and drawings to verify compliance with purchase order and incorporate supplier information into project design and
•Work closely with the team members to coordinate and facilitate maintenance related tasks and responsibilities.
•To perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Maintenance dept.
•Supporting maintenance planners and senior technicians to resolve complex maintenance issues.
•Co-ordinate and follow up with the material planner to ensure required material for the maintenance activities are available.
•Ensure the accuracy and validity of the equipment information in the SAP system for each respective area.
•To discuss and recommend about maintenance companies and suppliers.
•Track the maintenance activities going on during the plant shutdown and appraise all final maintenance work.
•Ensure the implementation of the systems and methods of maintenance work.
•Discuss and recommend with respective team members for corrective measures to fully implement maintenance schedule and programs including preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
•Participate in preparing operating and business plans for the respective area/unit and facilitate the implementation for pertinent objectives.
•Providing necessary support to team members before/after daily meetings to ensure high level of safety performance and comply with health, safety and environmental standards.
•To Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Maintenance dept.
- Supervise all planning activities within the Maintenance Department and considering all related activities in areas such as engineering, maintenance and materials.
•Daily site supervision for on-going work at different sites. And monitoring quality of work.
•Preparing material requisition and expediting material shortage at sites.
•Co-ordination with different discipline for easy moving of site activities.
•Follow up with clients’ representative and attend meetings on weekly and basis.
•Maintaining of all related document works and update records.
•Site surveillance with client’s representative for punching and clearing of punches.
•Installation and gravity testing of plumbing piping network.
•Participate in testing and commissioning of HVAC and fire fighting system.
•Responsible for submitting as built drawings of HVAC, Plumbing and firefighting system.
•Conducting pressure test for hot & cold domestic water lines at the recommended pressure.
•Conducting pressure test for fire fighting pipes & for sprinklers at recommended pressure.
•Preparing R.F.I & carrying out inspection for all mechanical works executed.
•Installation of package units, AHU’S & split units on their pads.
•Primary duties include selection of equipments, duct and pipe routing, detail design engineering of HVAC Systems involving heat load calculations, and preparation of drawing and specification.
•Installation of exhaust fans for exhaust duct on their pads.
Designed HVAC system for a Car showroom, All heat load calculations were done on Carrier’s “HOURLY ANALYSIS PROGRAM”.
My role: I contributed my work in this project by estimating the cooling required, ventilation and duct sizing in the project.
