In Addition to the responsibilities of an Automation Engineer, the role involved:
* Mentored & trained graduate engineers with the different technologies used in the projects to develop their
skills and understanding of the various systems.
* Successfully collaborated with cross-functional development teams to design, build and commission
automated systems.
* Built, tested & deployed scalable and modular systems.
* Continually improved methods and procedures for processes, performance measurements, documenting and
work flow techniques.
* Conducted meetings with clients to determine project intent, requirements, budgets and project progression.
Involved in the full project life-cycle of bespoke; automation systems, with a combination of
programming, visualisation and control equipment such as PLC, HMI, SCADA, Vision system,
Drives, etc.
* Rendered technical drawings and electrical systems specifications using AutoCAD.
* Handled scripting tasks for building and debugging automated system using Ladder Logic, Function
block Diagram, Visual Basic, etc.
* Worked closely with customers, internal staff and other stakeholders to determine planning,
implementation and integration of system-oriented projects.
* Troubleshot electrical equipment problems such as electro-valves, sensors, drives, PLC
* Integrate with Vision inspection systems for online quality control of production lines
* Retrofit an upgrade obsolete and end of life systems to maintain continuous support of systems.
Developed automated systems to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
* Monitored installation and operations to consistently meet rigorous customer requirements.
* Involved in designing and programming multiple PLC based automated systems.
* Contributed to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues and
recommended courses of action.
* Developed and delivered product demonstrations and presentations for Bosch Rexroth range of
control equipment.
