Melaku is mainly responsible for inspecting the QC and QA of the following activities,
• Perform site inspection and geotechnical evaluations to determine optimal grouting locations and
methods.
• Conduct tests and inspection on grout samples to evaluate performance and compliance with the
specifications.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards by monitoring grouting process and materials.
• Worked closely with project engineers, geologists and construction teams to coordinate activities and
ensure project timelines were met.
• Manage and carry out detailed supervision of Dam grouting works mainly - Contact/consolidation
grouting, Curtain grouting and Bulb grouting ensure that the work prescribed in the contract, plans and
specification are executed faithfully and on time.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation detailing grouting methodologies, results, and
recommendations.
• Adhered to safety protocols and best practice to minimize risks associated with grouting activities.
• Monitor grouting effectiveness and made adjustment as necessary to optimize performance.
• Supervised the calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment, ensuring accurate and reliable test
results.
• Managed dam instrumentation systems, including piezometers, inclinometers, and extensometers, to
monitor dam behavior and performance.
• Successfully managing and supervise the instrumentation installation for Koysha HEP dam project,
resulting in enhanced safety monitoring and risk assessment.

• Preparing geotechnical investigation reports
• Identifying the requirements for construction materials and sourcing them accordingly
• Responsible for assurance of the quality of materials.
• Conducts qualification tests for source approval according to international standards.
• Conducts test on materials and prepares Inspection Plan.
• Based on soil test result, suggest the type of foundation.
• Monitors implementation of procedures.

• Overseeing open-air excavation operations to ensure safety and compliance with specification
• Supervising dam grouting and foundation treatment works
• Compiling comprehensive data sets and preparing detailed weekly reports for project
• Reviewing contractors monthly progress reports to assess performance and adherence to timeline.
• Manage and carry out detailed supervision of project, ensure that the work prescribed in the contract,
plans and specification are executed on time.
• Manage and carry out detailed supervision of Dam grouting works mainly, Contact/consolidation
grouting, Curtain grouting and Bulb grouting, ensure that the work prescribed in the contract, plans and
specification are executed as standard and on time.
