Reporting directly to the partner, I was responsible for the provision of assurance and business advisory services to a portfolio of clients. Providing leadership to on the field team, finalizing of engagements within stipulated deadline while maintaining quality.

Key achievements would include setting up of an internal audit function at Pakistans largest paint manufacturer and being assigned as the work place mentor for trainees at the firm.

Engaged in providing assurance services to a portfolio of international and local clients. Responsible for the execution of the risk based audit approach and leading audit teams during the fieldwork under the guidance of the manager and partner. In addition, also providing non-assurance services to the clients.

- Developing and implementing a flexible annual audit plan using appropriate risk-based methodology, addressing any risks or control concerns identified at controls evaluation stage.
- Providing internal project leadership and supervision and internal communication of audit objectives to facilitate implementation of those plans.
- Review of accounting and internal control systems and suggesting procedures for improvements.
- Advising client management on accounting and related technical matters.
- Review, preparation and compilation of financial statements in accordance with the reporting framework comprising of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and applicable local laws.
- Dealing with client management, delegating and reviewing work of subordinates and presenting completed jobs to managers and partners for review.
- Preparing formal audit and management reports to assist the partners in expressing an opinion on financial statements.

- Calculated and verified interest earned on UN disbursement for Kuwait - Iraq war by United Nations.

Engaged in assurance services. Responsible for gathering audit evidence to support the audit opinion and bringing the audit finding to the notice of the supervisor and manager.

Engaged in assisting the manager accounts in carrying out routine activities, maintained the books of accounts and interacted with debtors for timely collection of payments. Performed month end closing procedures and prepared monthly financial statements for the review the manager accounts.
