I am currently working at Bombardier Transportation in Gothenburg, Sweden as a Senior Systems
Engineer for industrial railway signaling system. The primary goal with this system is to secure the transportation chain in the mines, between loading and unloading stations by introducing a
Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) system with moving block technology and in-cab signaling
system for speed supervision.

The system also includes driverless train management and automatic train transportation
management, hence resulting in a safety critical and fully automated railway production system.

As a Systems Engineer, my responsibilities include:
- Act as the product owner and requirements specialist for the design and test teams.
- Lead the factory/laboratory and on-site acceptance testing effort (FAT and SAT)
- Support the bid and sales teams in bid management
- Understand customer requirements and act as an interface towards the customer
- Be a part of the complete software development life cycle from requirements, analysis, design,
test and integration, verification and validation.
- Support the project management office with time estimations and prioritization of work
packages.
- Lead the safety assessment and validation process according to railway standards

Previously I worked at Bombardier Transportation in Gothenburg, Sweden as a Lead Software
Engineer for industrial railway signaling projects.

As a Software Lead, my responsibilities included (but were not limited to);
- Act as the technical leader for the design team
- Understand system requirements and define work packages
- Sprint planning for the design team
- Time estimates for work packages and breaking the work packages in smaller tasks
- Conducting regular workshops for knowledge sharing
- Making sure software is delivered to test and site with quality on time
- Analyze non-conformity reports from existing software and plan fixes
I also represented software design team in change control board which is the communication hub for System Engineers, Test Leaders and Safety assessors.

During this job, I was also a mentor of a summer worker (a university student), which resulted in a
small but a useful product for data modeling.

From this position, I gained good understanding of Project Management, SCRUM, Agile Methods,
Enterprise Architect, Microsoft Project, IBM Synergy, DOORS and Change. I have also gained
considerable railway industry knowledge e.g. ERTMS, Railway Signaling Audits, CENELEC standards,
commissioning process.

I had been working in the Data Management Group at Jeppesen Systems AB in Gothenburg,
Sweden since July 2007 until September 2011. My main responsibilities included design and implementation of database API for various Crew Management Systems (e.g. Rostering, Tracking,
Manpower planning etc), that were used by various airlines and rail clients across the world.

As a Software Engineer, primarily, I was involved in development of database API using C++,
Python, Swig. The API supports several databases namely Oracle and firebird on various different
architectures. (64-bit Linux, 32-bit Linux, 64-bit sparc) . I have clear understanding of C++, Python,
Design Patterns, STL, UML etc.

As an Oracle Expert, I was part of the Data Management/DBA group at Jeppesen and have
been involved in managing Oracle 10 and 11 databases (both RAC and single instance) . I have good
experience in different Oracle tools and performance tuning of these tools as well.
