I started off as a compression proposal engineer and i have built my expertise around that. As i progressed within the company i am now lead proposal engineer for EPC jobs in the GCC working on high profile projects in the region. This has allowed me to gain lots of technical information and also to build relationships with subvendors and end users as communication goes back and forth. My job responsibilities described breifly are as follows:
A- Proposals
• Assist in evaluation of Request For Quotation
• Conduct and / or oversee the design, selection, and costing of equipment both internally and externally (i.e. subvendors)
• Provide customer support to sales via bid clarification meetings, pre-bid technical meetings, negotiation meetings, etc
• Manage the proposal process from opportunity to award
B- Business Development:
• Building strong personal cordial relationships with end clients, prime contractors, partners, etc. in MEA region
• Understand organizational and operational structure within partners and clients, identifying key decision makers and influencers within these organizations.
• Account management for specific clients and areas
Control labor and material on site.
Update Project Manager on progress status
Liaise with Consultant/Inspector to approve inspection
Ensure work is completed in a timely and safely manner
