ICS System FAT Activities with SAIPEM
Responsible for Engineering & Construction for Three Disciplines Electrical, Instrumentation Control System and Telecommunication.
Responsible for Project Deliverables and design documents.
Prepare and review complete Outside Plant Fiber Optic network and routings, Responsible to secure and reserves slots from existing networks from Saudi Aramco IT Team.
OTN, LDS networking for Process networks and Security system including IP Telephonic plans.
MOXA, Systimax industrial switches including Gateways and Fiber Optic networking protocols.
Instrumentation & Electrical equipment selection, Engineering, Ordering including Construction and Pre-Commissioning.
Installation of cable tray, HV & LV cable laying, Earthing cable laying & Thermite welding.
Cable termination of Control Cables, Instruments, MV & LV switchgear, Marshalling Panel, Junction Boxes etc.
Installation of grounding system, lightning system, substation grounding equipment grounding, Instrument grounding pits & bas bar.
Testing and Pre-Commissioning Power transformer, CT, PT Bus bar and Breakers.
Prepared the Method statement for pre-commissioning of Electrical and Instrument equipment’s.
Installation of electrical panel, Motors, Transformers, substation switchgear, Cable Trays, Conduit and fire Monitoring and alarm system.
Installation of plant lighting (indoor & outdoor), Flood lighting, Task lighting and Photocell.
Prepare Project Pre-Commissioning procedures and handle Third Party Functional Test including SCADA, CIS, RTU’s, FOC Network etc.
Denys Arabia secure the 16” pipeline Project with Complete SCADA System and field Instrumentation. Fadhili Gas Program is grassroot project by Saudi Aramco and located in Khursaniyah Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.
Discipline leader for Electrical & Instrumentation Control System department and managing the Project framework. In addition to this responsible for Interface points as Manager with Saudi Aramco other facilities.
Responsible for Project Deliverables and design documents.
Prepare Project Pre-Commissioning procedures and handle Third Party Functional Test including SCADA, CIS, RTU’s, FOC Network etc.
Managed interface issues direct and indirect for Electrical, Instrumentation and networking.
Leading the team for developing Ring network for Process data through FOC links.
Establish and secure IP Networking and VLAN configuration for layer-3 process network switches.
Reviewing Client Standards and specifications for correct design and implementation.
Held internal/external kick-off meetings, gathered requirements and prepared project management & other plans

SADARA is a grassroots project by SAUDI ARAMCO and DOW Chemicals as joint venture. Task to develop and prepare the Construction, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and Start up activities for LDPE & PE Plants operation and maintenance in SADARA Plastic Envelope. Responsible to monitor and carry on the Commissioning & Start up functions and leading day to day maintenance tasks and requirements for LDPE & PE Plants.
YASREF refinery was a grassroots project by Saudi Aramco & Sinopec China as joint venture. Its more than 25 Billion US$ Project and I was assigned for Hydrocracker unit “EPC-3” to establish a framework of E&I Discipline, after design work completion I was assign as Sr. Superintendent for site engineering and Construction work functions.
Purified Terephthalic acid (PTA) Project was a de-bottleneck project and several revamping items includes. The project for multi discipline and Scope of Instrumentation & Control system was consists of multi field instrumentation replacement includes DCS and ESD system up gradation with new model DCS by YOKOGAWA Centum CS 3000. Assumed a contributory role during the site Engineering and Construction phase of the project.
Tasked with establishing project administration frameworks, ensuring adherence to project schedules, and tracking closing project correspondence, as well as processing Technical letters, waivers, RFI, 3D modeling assignments, and change orders..
Worked independently as a Lead I&CS Engineer on this Project. The project involves providing
Instrumentation & Control System complete functions from the basic Conceptual study till Construction. Establish the complete frame work, includes Conceptual design, FEED, Details Engineering, Implementation at site, and Construction.
Assigned as Team Leader for Instrumentation & Control team, Supervise the design and selection criteria of the Instrumentation. Involve in P&ID 3D review and approvals.
Support the Project Team as ICS Engineer for Construction, Instrument Installation & Testing & Pre-Commissioning works.
Executed effectively preservation plan for employing 6K field instruments, such as DCS and remote instrument buildings within minimum budget. Saved 1.5M$+ by observing double and extra costing from EPC.
Enforced end-to-end controls for monitoring overall construction, project interphase, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities to improve service, quality, and productivity.
Employed 6K field instruments and 7K I/O based DCS testing and calibration to complete installation within year, including framework for cable tray and instrument supports.
Continue my roll after Start-Up of the EOEG Unit and involve in Maintenance per Operation Manager request.
Prepare Maintenance procedures for Corrective and Preventive maintenance and implementation for the same.
Developed and implement process safety changes for Instrumentation field devices to achieve minimum failure of operation.
As QAQC Engineer responsible to Develop and reviewing the Construction Method Statements (CMS) & Inspection Test Procedures (ITP) for Instrument Section. Based on SABIC Specifications & International Standards.
Daily, Weekly and Monthly Inspection schedule and planing. and Site Inspection for Quality Control.
Responsible for Quality Documents, QA/QC Procedures, FAT/SAT Procedures, Third Party recommendations and approval etc.
Arranging the daily and weekly meetings as per work requirements with concern departments in EPC.
Developed the procedures for Loop testing, Calibration of control valves (Field calibration and also Lab Calibration).Installation of DP transmitters, Pressure Transmitters, Thermocouples, Rtd`s etc.
Trouble shooting. And find out problems and remove them.
Putting the Instrument Tags, mention the cable roots, and also installation of instruments. (Level, Pressure, Flow & Temperature Transmitters).Wired the PLC Control panels. Loop testing and also fault tracing.
Hands on experience in troubleshooting and problem handling on Siemens PLC S7 300 series controller 315-2DP, 316-2DP, 300 and S5 95, 100, 115 CPU. Allen Bradley.
Continue my job as E&I Engineer Consultant with TEXTRONICS ENGINEERING while doing my Degree Course.

Some of the Projects which I supervised with my Senior Project Engineer are but not limited to following,
1. Auto Can system installation and commission in DEWAN SUGAR MILLS, Thatta Sindh Pakistan.
2. Auto Can System Installation and Commission for CRESCENT SUGAR MILLS, Faisalabad Pakistan.
3. Flow Transmitter installation and commissioning in several Textile industries for Boiler steam lines.
4. Installation of the Transmitters, load cells, Gauges, Control valves, process controllers, junction boxes, Control Panels etc.
Calibration of Control Valves, all adjustments of the control valves and field transmitters.
Experience for analyzer installations etc…
Installed the various field Instruments and having strong command to tackle a team of 30 to 50 Workers.
Electrical Engineering and managed my classes during my job as weekend classes and some time monthly classes. Semi distance studies.
