Nadeen Abu-Rub

• Lead an overhaul of SCJ’s programmatic systems following the merger of its two in-country offices;
• As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, participate in the development of SCJ’s organisational strategy and the Jordan strategic plan;
• Represent SCJ in the development of the Jordan Response Plan for the Syria Crisis 2019-2021, led by the government and the UN;
• Oversee the Programme Implementation Department; providing support to a portfolio of 30 humanitarian and development programmes carried out in refugee camps and urban settings across four different sectors (Education, Protection, Food Security and Livelihoods and Health and Nutrition);
• Acting Chief of Party for Education Consortium (conditional cash for EiE), funded by ECHO to Enable Access to Educational Pathways and Safer Learning Environments;
• Mount appropriate and timely emergency responses at scale;
• Act as the overall budget holder for programmes, providing support to primary budget holders and project/ programme managers;
• Participate in the design of child-focused, innovative and cost-effective humanitarian and development programmes, targeting refugees and vulnerable communities;
• Work with various institutional, corporate and individual donors e.g. ECHO, DFATD, BMZ, NORAD, LEGO, Pearson and Bulgari, as well as UN agencies such as UNICEF, UNHCR, UNDP and WFP to deliver high-quality programmes;
• Establish, maintain, and improve active and regular working relationships with government authorities and different stakeholders;
• Represent SCJ in various governmental, donor, sectoral and partner meetings.

• Develop a new organisational structure to improve performance and efficiency;
• Lead the development of WAY’s strategy and its operational manual, in addition to its 2017 action plan and budget;
• Contribute to the design and implementation of volunteer and community-led projects in Jordan and Palestine.

2. Empowering Micro-Entrepreneurs in Jordan and Lebanon (Citi Foundation)
• Manage RMVF's programmes to ensure programmes are implemented in accordance with the proposal and allocated budget;
• Directly manage programme staff in Jordan and remotely in Lebanon;
• Develop programme document templates including SOPs, ToRs and workplans;
• Supervise the work of all consultants and sub-contractors;
• Prepare and ensure timely submission of progress, impact and financial reports;
• Liaise with donors, line ministries and local partners, including CSOs, to ensure the success and sustainability of programmes;
• Support in identifying potential opportunities and lead the process of proposal writing and budget development in coordination with the Finance Department.

Programme: Support the Psychosocial and Educational Needs of Vulnerable Syrian and Host Community Children and their Families in Balqa Governorate (UNICEF Jordan).
• Manage the implementation of the programme and its activities;
• Develop the programme workplan, as well as programme documents and templates;
• Develop informal school curriculum and exams for Mathematics, Arabic and Science;
• Act as MECI’s focal point for monitoring and evaluation;
• Prepare monthly and quarterly progress reports;
• Manage programme and field staff in different municipalities and locations;
• Represent MECI in technical and sectoral meetings and working groups.

• Support the restructuring of the Group's different departments and companies;
• Direct the Group's overall operations, while setting specific objectives for its individual companies;
• Manage the Administrative Department, including procurement, inventory, fleet and maintenance;
• Manage and supervise the performance of administrative and executive staff;
• Coordinate with executive and support staff to ensure high performance is recorded and operational efficiency is maintained;
• Contribute to the Group’s marketing strategy and the marketing plans of its individual companies;
• Assess new proposals and evaluate feasibility studies for proposed projects.

• Prepare progress reports for ongoing projects, including the American Bar Association's project on "Enhancing Judicial Capacities of Newly Appointed Female Judges", and the Netherlands Embassy's project on the "Enhancement of the Right to Fair Trials in Jordan";
• Develop the project workplan for the Foundation for Future's project on "Sound Legislative Drafting: Empowering Jordanian Legislators";
• Support in budget development and reallocation for ongoing projects;
• Develop an action plan for the King Hussein Foundation’s project on "Reversing the Gender Bias in Jordan's Residency Laws";
• Participate in the design and translation of the "Advocacy Campaign Strategy for Women's Right to Inheritance".

• Assist the department in planning and implementing operational strategies to meet agreed organisational performance plans;
• Attend and participate in UKTI section meetings;
• Provide market research support within different sectors on local (in Jordan and Iraq) and UK markets;
• Event planning support for proposed business opportunities and developments, such as; trade missions, exhibitions and new launches/partnerships;
• Meet with clients to identify business opportunities between local (in Jordan and Iraq) and UK companies.
