Over the last 7 years I have become a regular substitute teacher for the ICARDA International School. I have often been recruited for long and short term substitution for assistants in various Elementary (Primary) grades and departments (eg. Kindergarten, Grade one, two and four, Library, Art Class)
Main Tasks:
- Assisting the teacher with the daily teaching schedule, and implementing the daily and weekly plans as per the curriculum.
- Coordinating activities for the children
- Helping the children master the work at hand, whether it is an academic subject (Arithmetic) or hands-on activities (Art)
