I am currently leading a team of technical specialists and business analysts in the aim of identifying achievable and rewarding projects under the ECM umbrella. This past year I successfully led my team to deliver two high profile projects for the agency implementing an electronic Document submission for the Canadian Taxpayers in two different program areas in order to reduce costs and increase efficiency of the overall Tax process for the public. During my recent and past experience I have also contributed to multiple competing projects in the area of ECM, Information Management and Virtual Collaboration using cutting edge and innovative products and solutions. I have vast experience in dealing with vendors that provide solutions in the aforementioned IT areas and have been involved in RFP processes to investigate and procure solutions that align to my organizations’ roadmap. Key Responsibilities: •Managed large scale IT projects from inception to delivery and support. •Overall project management of multiple initiatives and technical teams involved in implementing the aforementioned projects. •Schedule, Funding and Resource management related to section's activities including resource development and career guidance. •Strategic alignment of sections objectives with overall organizations goals and future strategy. •Managing and directing of specialized teams to analyze, plan, execute and support an agency wide deployment of Enterprise Content Management (Filenet): Document Management, Records Management and Business Process Management. •Completion of high profile agency wide Web 2.0/e-Government solutions within budget and stipulated timelines. •Data Centre management, development, upgrade & optimization. •Interaction with vendors and 3rd parties to investigate, negotiate and formulate IT strategies that benefits the CRA IT infrastructure. •Communication of technical/business recommendations and solutions to high level stakeholders
Project Manager / IEMS Designer - Carrier VoIP OAM NORTEL
•Spearheaded the latest IEMS (Integrated Element Management System) product release project.
•Guiding the team of Software Designers to deliver the newest load of IEMS product while managing the complete issues from design inception, design phase, system test phase and customer release of the load.
•Communicating with various groups within the company through virtual, real meetings and carrying out project discussions & brainstorming sessions to resolve any problems or weaknesses encountered with the overall product quality or delivery.
•Developing a schedule of project plan and ensuring that overall project goals & objectives are met while beating all deadlines to reach early delivery to the field.
•Actively involve in the design development and sustaining for the IEMS platform. Utilize Java, ksh & perl for the upgrades and security GUI portion of the IEMS platform.
•Participating in design projects such as IEMS upgrade metrics and product upgrade enhancements to reduce outage times during IEMS upgrades and to streamline the overall upgrade procedure for the customers.
•Completed test plan ad test case design as well as the execution of latest Lean Six Sigma IEMS Upgrade Project feature during the latest optimized IEMS load.
•Attending to the change request raised by Tier-II Support Engineers or others and ensuring that RCA was accurate & complete. Further addressed either s/w fix or documentation change.
•Participated in code inspections and reviews in order to detect software defects ad produce robust, reliable and efficient code.
•Ascertaining that the team is aware of company’s USDRP (Uniform Software Development & Release Program) initiative & deployment plans and implementing initiative goals within the team through design process improvements and enhancement accordingly.
Senior Product Engineer - Carrier VoIP OAM NORTEL
•Effectively provided tier-2 support for Nortel Engineers and customers for the CBM and SDM products and executed troubleshooting, analysis or problem resolutions seen on the same.
•Furnished inputs relevant to the design and evaluation of CBM / SDM.
•Met with customers directly to service affected sites and resolved issues.
•Conducted a test on fixes and fixtures in order to improve and enhance product quality.
•Performed as a subject matter expert for the group in the areas of network troubleshooting & SNTP (Simple Network Time Protocol). Executed ode browsing (C, C++) using clearcase and code analysis during debugging of complex issues observed on live systems.
•Handled and ensured concise & timely customer case updates through the Clarify Database s/w and ascertained that all cases meet the TL9000 standards.
•Did statistical analysis and wrote reports to management to assess technical issues seen in the field and strategize ways of response to the market.
•Worked as Patch Writer and dealt with corrective or feature patches.
•Organized and conducted training sessions for the team on CBM/SDM product.
Co-op Student (ATM Verification) - Nortel Networks
Effectively performed verification procedures and testing of the 15KS (Succession) ATM Enterprise Switch. Carried out test case scenarios and reported any bugs or faults in the ATM switch functionality. Performed functional tests involving Passport 8250 Integrated Access Multiplexer.
Co-op Student (Network Management) - Public Works & Government Services
•Active member of Network Operating Systems (NOS) team for the Government Telecommunications Informatics Services (GTIS) division.
•Completed project on Fibre Channel backup Solutions & Storage Are Networks (SANs).
•Worked in the server environment at PDP III and conducted storage management tests using network hardware/software products.
•Maintained Server Management Architecture rules & assembly of Xeon 5500 Compaq Servers.
