Supervise the activities of assigned employees.
• Maintain the general ledger of the Branch ensuring that all accounting entries are posted correctly.
• Ensure that daily and monthly transactions are properly recorded.
• Extract monthly trial balances and related financial reports.
• Prepare necessary adjustment entries for the recharge/reallocation of operating and capital expenditures within the Branch.
• Reconcile all the subsidiary Ledgers with the Control Accounts in the General Ledger and process the necessary correcting entries.
• Verify output against input and prepare monthly statements of accounts and reconcile with General Ledger.
• Ensure that all due suppliers, contractors and utilities invoices are paid in time.
• Review documents related to acquisition/transfer/write-off of assets and maintain appropriate register.
• Assist External and Internal Auditors performing auditing duties.
• Perform other similar or related duties, as assigned, includes ensuring timely filing and archiving of various accounting documents, reconciliation of assets physical check with Asset Register.
• Handling Branch Keys Register and ensure that the keys handed to the authorized staff.
• Maintain a long term relationship with customer, in order to achieve maximum satisfaction.
• Exceed customer expectation by monitoring service delivery among all staff and departments and to ensure that the branch achieves required service performance rating.
• Attend assigned meetings and conferences as required.
• Conduct monthly meetings with branch Ops staff to update them on new policies / procedures and send minutes of the meeting to Area Ops Manager.
• Keep abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues, through continued education and professional growth.
