Emergency Duties in Wards
1. Provide nursing services within defined scope of practices based on patient assessment and care planning procedure.
2. Perform nursing interventions such as vital signs, applying aseptic techniques including sterile dressing and ensure infection control.
3. Maintain nutritional intake and conducting specimen collection.
4. Administ6ered medication and observe and document therapeutic effect.
5. Provide pre and post operative comfort care.
6. Monitored established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy.
7. Monitored patient progress evaluates effectiveness of nursing intervention and consult with appropriate of health care team.
8. To check the emergency drugs and equipments and sign in daily record shift wise
9. Participate in the development of goals in the area of assignment.
10. Participate in the development of nursing policy and set standard of work in the unit.
11. Work collaboratively with other departments and multidisciplinary team in the hospital.
12. Always keep the confidentiality of patients, relatives and staff all the times.
13. Attend in service lectures or provide in service teaching.
