Plan and coordinate the dispatching of 125-150 weekly driver assignments for the pick-up of
export freight and delivery of import freight. Responsible for maintaining/surpassing 90% ontime
delivery performance.
• Coordinate delivery of import freight, pick-up of export freight, product shipments and all
transportation logistics.
• Track shipments, interpret computer-generated maps and relay directions and other critical
information via two-way radio consoles, BNSF website and other systems.
• Interpret weather radar information, develop staff shift schedules and maintain continuous
communication with drivers, dispatchers, warehouses and customers.
• Drive business growth via cold calling and follow-up, developing strong customer relationships.
• Coordinate route changes and re-prioritizing of shipments to accommodate customer rush orders.
• Review customer requests, respond to customer inquiries and resolve problems as they arise.
• Expedite large orders and handle staffing shortages by outsourcing to local and OTR firms.
• Update and maintain accurate customer orders and dispatching records.
• Investigate and resolve incidents, accidents and customer complaints.
• Research competitive rates and services and prepare analytical reports
