As Business Head, responsible for the entire operations of the personal care business within the Eurostar Group which manufactures and markets EUROMAX range of shaving products; with exclusive international sales team and common functional teams for finance, logistics and IT. Euromax is launched in over 40 countries in Africa, Asia and Europe. Responsibilities include customer management, production planning and coordination, logistics coordination, cash flow management, cost and resource optimization, profit responsibility.
As NSM, independently managing the Biscuits and Confectionery Division of BME for the last 6 years and responsible for the sales and distribution of renowned brands Britannia and Nutro in UAE across all channels with a team of over 180 people; comprising of 3 Sales Managers, 20 sales executives, 30 exclusive merchandisers and 100 common merchandisers, 1 Van sales manager, 3 Van Supervisors, 16 van salesmen, 10 van merchandisers and 1 Trade marketing manager.
Key achievements during the last 6 years include 1) Doubling the business in all the categories - Biscuits & Rusk. 2 ) Increasing market shares to become the No 3 player in UAE successfully competing against top multinationals; becoming the No1 player in Lulu group. 3) Optimizing the A&P spends effectively to deliver superior performance and market presentation. 4) Successful launch of Sorini range of Italian confectionery in Dubai Duty Free & UAE roastries.
Responsible for business development for the "Inflight Duty Free" vertical through negotiating new contracts with the airlines, bidding for the airline tenders, executing new contracts and implementing business plans successfully.
Head of sales for the edible oil division and responsible for achieving the sales and distribution targets across the GCC. Increased the sales, profitability and market shares of IFFCO across all markets significantly during this period.
Responsible for the sales and distribution of Supermax across GCC and achieving the annual business plans. Relaunched the entire range of Super Max in the GCC successfully with good gains in market share and distribution as per Nielsen reports.
Responsible for the sales and distribution of Kraft Cheese and Nabisco biscuits range of products for the UAE market through implementing the Kraft business plans across all channels - key accounts, self service stores, groceries, HORECA and wholesale. Successfully launched the Kraft White Cheese in UAE and grew the overall business by over 30% and also increased the market shares significantly.
