• Ward/Unit/Service info: 41 bed hospital adult hospital. We service patients on dialysis, Vent. Patient, ICCU patients, patients with wounds and nutritional needs.
• Managerial/supervisory/in charge experience: (Pharmacy director (manager) for past 13 years. I over see 4 pharmacist and 4 pharmacy technicians.
◆ Orders appropriate quantities medications on timely basis.
◆ Completes annual inventory process and forwards to Business Office.
◆ Complies with all Federal and State Pharmacy laws, rules and regulations.
◆ Oversees monthly removal of outdated medications and returns them to the manufacturer.
◆ Documents all recalled drugs.
◆ Maintains an available stock of antidotes and other emergency drugs, both in the pharmacy and in patient care areas.
◆ Maintains departmental expenses at or below budgeted level.
◆ Insures that current JCAHO standards audit shows pharmacy to be compliant in at least 95%
Of the standards.
◆ Assures adequate control and documentation of controlled substances as required by law and pharmacy policies and procedures.
◆ Conducts monthly inspections of patient care units and other areas of the hospital

Participates in all meetings of the pharmacy and Therapeutics committee and implements the decisions of that Committee throughout the hospital and obtains approval of medication usage criteria through P&T.

Organ function is reviewed as it relates to appropriateness of therapy.
◆ Updates and implements departmental policies and procedures as required.
◆ Implements clinically oriented program such as Pharmacokinetic Dosing Service, Patient
Coumadin Counseling, Antibiotics Stewardship, and Nutritional Support Service.

critical care satellite: includes above listed duties plus unit dose medication work, entering medication orders, consulted health professional (allergies, drug interactions, drug utilization) .performed patient chart review which included lab monitoring and drug use evaluation.
Oncology /Bone marrow transplant unit: Prepare chemotherapy and order entry and drug monitoring for patient in unit. Consulted with physicians and nursing.
Dispensing Area: fill employee prescriptions and patients in emergency room. Answer questions for public and health professionals.
