After 5 years being Head of Engineering and R&D, I was promoted as Operations
Manager. I am responsible for overseeing the operations of all the company. I am
responsible for the smooth running of production and the quality of output to
schedule and budget, including but not limited to decision making and problem
solving.
Responsibilities
● Liaise with project managers to formulate objectives and understand
requirements.
● Oversee and lead the design process to ensure it delivers high quality,
cost effective and timely solutions in line with business needs.
● Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines.
● Monitor and drive production to achieve deadlines and continuously
improving, resolving issues that arise.
● Determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials,
etc.)
● Work with maintenance and others to schedule planned maintenance
work, specify and purchase equipment.
● To continually maintain and improve the quality of products.
After I have promoted to this title, I found myself in a big responsibility toward the
company since I was responsible for all designs, and pricing, tendering along with
research and development. My team was consisting of 7 draftsmen, 2 graphic
designers, and 2 design engineers, one pricing engineer along with quantity
surveyor.
Accomplishments
● Administrate and manage the job responsibilities in engineering
department.
● Reviewing all graphic designs, shop drawings, structural reports.
● Reviewing all R.F.Q.’s and preparing quotations and tenders.
● Prepare all the required documents for fabrication such as B.O.M and
production shop drawings.
● Following up with all departments to insure providing the necessary files
on time (internally or externally).
● Creating internal system to follow up requests and this system passed
ISO 9001 while auditing.
the company was in development stage, they handed me most of the
design works in our company.
Accomplishments
● Preparing all design reports for steel & concrete structures and match it
with the projects specifications and local and universal codes.
● Reviewing all the shop drawings. And cover all the comments by the
clients.
As a start in Electro industries I was managing couple of roads projects in Qatar,
as part of my scope and communicating with clients, consultants, contractors, and
coordinating with all the concerned parts to complete projects in traffic
management, directional signs, internal and external signs.
Accomplishments
● Following up with contractor to prepare all the paper works required for
approval, such as policy plans, shop drawings, method statements, ITP’s,
etc.
● Coordinating with fabrication and supervise the process to make sure it
has been made as per approved submittals.
● Coordinating with installation teams to install contract items as per
approved as per approved specification & time.
As it was my first experience in Gulf, I was promoted within 2 years from project
engineer in Jeddah city to branch manager in Makah city in a company
specialized in water proofing and concrete repairing.
Accomplishments
● Coordinating projects along with clients in our subcontracting field.
● Preparing and reviewing all the invoices and quantities.
● Making sure to comply with each project specification.
After graduating from Engineering faculty I worked in Badawi consulting for
constructions and worked in many projects by preparing the drawings and the
design for it then following up on site.
