WAREHOUSE ACTIVITES (Assists in sorting and packing tomatoes; assists in stickering/labelling clampshells, assists in the turn table by placing packed singles tomatoes into boxes; other duties as maybe required by the supervisor/manager i.e cleaning of washrooms, etc)
GREENHOUSE ACTIVITIES (Assists in cleaning greenhouse area, planting tomatoe plants, clipping, deleafing, supporting, removing suckers on tomatoe plants;picking tomatoe fruits; other duties as maybe required by the supervisor/manager i.e cutting of string from spools, take out used spools and place new spools on top of the planting area, etc.

Assists in mushroom tissue culture, bagging of substrates, watering/harvesting and packing of mushroom fruits.
Assists in the collection of soil samples for nematode analysis.

Assists in the maintenance and propagation of rootcrops planting materials
Wash laboratory glasswares, tools and equipments. Sterilize on autoclave 2-3 hours at 15 psi. After which, it will be transferred in the oven for dry sterilization.
Prepare media for culturing in-vitro potato plantlets. Dispense it on test tubes. Plug. Then sterilize it on autoclave for 15-30 minutes at 15 psi.
Sterilize media will be brought in the inoculation room for cooling. Ultraviolet lamp will be opened overnight for sterilizing the laminar flow.
On the following day, before entering the room, hands will be washed and then wear laboratory gown and gloves.
Before starting to subculture, the laminar flow will be disinfected with 70% alcohol/95 % ethyl alcohol. Spray also the test tubes and plugs with 95% ethyl alcohol to remove extra dirt attach.
Aseptically, use sterilized forceps to pull out the plantlet. Then cut in between each node with sterilized scissor. Lamps are beside the working area to move away organism that floating in the air that can cause contamination.
Place 5 cut nodes on each test tube and plugged. Then repeat with the same procedure. A lamp is always placed inside the laminar flow in the middle while subculturing.
Discard contaminated cultures on bottles and test tubes, sterilize and wash. Then soak glasswares on trays with chlorox and detergent soap. The glasswares will be wash on the following day. Washed glasswares will be sterilized again on the autoclave for specified time. After which, the glasswares will be transferred again on oven for dry sterilization.
Assist in the conduct of RDE on rootcrops management (i.e prepare data, gathering of tools and other instrument in the conduct of RDE activities, application of treatments, etc).
Assists on stem-cutting on potato production.
Does other activities as maybe required by the supervisor.

Assists in gathering and collating data as maybe required by the project leader/supervisor.
EXTENSION
Acts as resource speaker/person or assists seminars/trainings on for mushroom production.
Monitor client’s area (as requested) to be able to know what mushroom specie is favorable in their locality.
Prepare materials to be used for mushroom production seminars/trainings.
Does other activities as maybe required by the supervisor.
PRODUCTION
Responsible in the overall supervision of activities in the Mushroom Project.
Assists in the cleanliness of the laboratory area of the Mushroom Project.
Responsible in the washing and sterilization of laboratory tool’s and glassware’s.
Assists in washing of bottles needed for putting spawn media.
After sterilization, assists in transferring sterilized spawns/bags in the isolation/inoculation room.
Assists in transferring fruiting bags in fruiting shacks in the production area.
Assists in delivering mushroom fruits in the marketing center.
Responsible in preparing remittance/sales report.
Responsible in the sterilization of laboratory tool’s and glassware’s.
Responsible in the preparation and sterilization of media needed for culturing mushroom tissue.
Responsible in the preparation of mushroom pure culture.
Supervision in spawn and fruiting bag preparation and sterilization
Responsible in the inoculation of mushroom spawn and fruiting bags.
Supervision in the proper harvesting and packing of harvested mushroom fruits.
Responsible in the preparation of project production plan, remittance/sales report and in the financial income statement of the project and attend meetings as maybe required by the supervisor.
