Project Description: Qetaifan Island North Development, Lusail, Qatar
(The Development is one of the most significant mixed-use developments planned for Qatar and is
a natural extension to Doha City along the urban growth corridor expanding northwards with cost of QAR 4 Billions.
A key component of the overall development vision for Katara Hospitality is to deliver a world class leisure destination on Qetaifan Island North, which lies off the east coast of Lusail City. This vision has progressed during the development of a Concept Masterplan for the Island.
The development consists of 80MVA, 66/11kV Primary sub-station with all downstream 11kV network for feeding 77MVA electrical load to the various assets/facilities of development through multiple no. of Public and Private 11kV/415V Distribution sub-stations.)
Key Packages: Qetaifan Island North Development includes Electrical and ELV Infrastructures for Island, Meryal Water Park, 4 Star Hotel, Juma Mosque, Beach Club, Linear Parks along the Canal, Plazas/Souq for Retail and Festival, etc.
 Leading Site Operations and Construction Supervision/management of Electrical and ELV System Works for the Qetaifan Island North (Phase-1&2) Development.
 Leading and mentoring a team of 12 in-house Electrical/ELV Engineers and Inspectors.
 Reporting directly to Operations Director.
 Liaising with Client for any necessary approvals and providing necessary technical reports/recommendations as required by Client for any project specific issues.
 Monitor performance of Contractor/Sub-contractors/Specialist contractors and identify, raise any quality and/or any workmanship concerns.
 Inspection of all construction sites regularly with the team to ensure electrical contract supervision quality procedures are properly implemented and works are executed accordingly and acceptable practice.
 Liaising with the Design office and various Ride Vendors for Technical matters across the disciplines to ensure all design discrepancies are highlighted and solved within the stipulated time to avoid contractors’ claims for delay and/or cost.
 Review along with electrical team of contractors’ various Submittals, like, Technical Reports/Documents, Materials, Technical Queries, Construction Drawings and Documents, Samples, Corrective actions for non-conformance works, etc. to ensure these are in line with contract and relevant authority requirement.
 Review, coordinate and forward submittals, drawings, Technical Queries, Samples, etc. to the relevant project team and/or discipline engineers.
 Monitor the electrical construction progress as per approved contractors’ work program and raise alarm to various SRE/RE, if slips and assist review of contractors’ interim payment application technically.
 Supporting Liaison Manager for various Electrical and ELV Systems Authorities approvals.
 Attend regular weekly and/or Bi-weekly Meetings, like, Client, Technical, Progress, Site Coordination, project close-out, etc.
 Update and maintain the latest revision of all electrical project documents and authority regulations.
 Assist the project site team including SRE/RE during internal, external and site surveillance audits.
 Monitoring the performance of entire Electrical Team members’ day to day activities and mentoring on any advancement of process, procedures and technical skills required.
 Review of yearly Performance activities for entire Electrical Team members and Scheduling/coordination of electrical team’s annual leaves and proper coverage.
 Anticipates challenges and project risks and recommends necessary mitigating measures, and where necessary relates these internally to Commercial Team and, externally, to Client Representatives.

Project description : Qatar Foundation Education City, Al Rayyan, Qatar
(Qatar Foundation is a not-for-profit organization where centres and programs focused on education, research and innovation and community development intertwine)
Education City is a 12 square kilometers (4.6 sq mi) campus houses various educational facilities, including branch campuses of eight world’s leading educational institutes/universities, a homegrown university, start-up incubators, community centers, technology parks, research centers offering significant opportunities for the advancement of knowledge and research across a variety of disciplines. In addition, the city also facilitates ceremonial court, hotel, golf course, national library, oxygen park, hospital and biomedical research center, equine center, Mosque, FIFA Stadium and many more.

 Construction management of various Electrical and ELV Systems.
 Review of IFC Drawings, Shop Drawings, Material Submittals, Method of Statements for Construction, Testing and Commissioning Procedures, ITP, Commissioning plan, etc.
 Site inspections, Material Inspections, Witnessing of FAT, SAT, T&C, etc.
 Review of Project Closeout documents, like, Red Line Mark-up, Pre-As built & As-Built drawings, O&M Manuals, Training Manuals, project dossier, etc.
 Communicated and coordinated with all Disciplines and Stakeholders on daily basis, and when required the ability to coordinate with teams across other parties.
 Providing Technical Support for various Electrical and ELV Systems to Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP).
Close-out of issues related to DLP (Defects Liability Period) for various QF projects in Education City, like, Nursery, Veterinary Clinic, Carousel, various car parks, etc.
 Liaising with Various Design Consultants and Stakeholders for Technical matters across the disciplines to ensure all electrical design discrepancies are highlighted and solved within stipulated time to avoid improper implementation by contractors.

Project Description: EPIC for West Side Security Gate Facility at RLIC, Qatar Petroleum
(West side Gate of Ras Laffan Industrial City was completed with all state-of-the-art Security Systems to cater safety of existing & forthcoming expansion of various industrial facilities & increased risk levels against vital petrochemical facilities with cost of approx. QAR 1 Billion.
The project involved the engineering, procurement, installation, and construction of Khalifa Road extension and other several link roads of approx. 22km of length at the west side of Ras Laffan industrial city.
The project included a new security building and gatehouse, with security checking facilities, 10 No. Guard checkpoint lanes with guard cubicles, structures, steel canopy, under vehicle scanners/x-ray equipment, number plate recognition/CCTV, electronic boom barriers, mosque, substation building, traffic signals, LED Display Board, Road Blockers, and other utilities and buildings)

 Responsible for coordination of following electrical & mechanical detail engineering and managed construction with prevailing industry standards/quality systems for EPIC project under Qatar Energy/Petroleum.
o Internal, Outdoor and Steet lighting.
o LV Power Distribution network with alternate power supply back up such as DG set, Centralized UPS.
o Security Systems such as CCTV, Access Control, ANPR, Pop-up Blockers & Bollards, LED Electronic Display Board (Giant), Z-portal Backscatters, X-ray machines for luggage scanning, Boom Barriers, Lane Numbering System, Turnstiles, Sliding Gates, etc.
o Telecommunication, CISCO Converged & Wireless LAN Systems, Fire alarm detection & Prevention System.
o Various Mechanical services such as HVAC, Wastewater system, Potable water (Hot & Cold) System, Building Management system (BMS), external Fire Fighting water/hydrant/ network, Clean Agent Systems, etc.

 Managed design development, procurement, planning department for above MEP works, such as submission of engineering submittals, procurement of MEP equipment, MEP construction program, etc.
 Coordinated with Consultant and QP Technical team for technical approval and related issues, etc.
 Managed Subcontractors for smooth progress of works.
 Attended project progress weekly meeting and take corrective action accordingly.
 Co-ordinated with internal QS/Client’s QS for approval of MEP construction measurement for invoicing.

Key Project: Al Raha Beach Development, Abu Dhabi, UAE
(Al Raha Beach Development was 600 hectares mixed use development in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The development was a forecast resident population of 120, 000; daytime population in excess of 200, 000 & a project value of US $20 billion.)
 Played a key role in executing overall project through significant contributions in detailed design, documentation, coordination and review of the LV & 11kV electrical services for the infrastructure, such as;
o Road & Bridge lighting
o Public realm electrical equipment
o Landscape lighting
 Played a pivotal role in ensuring smooth execution of project through exemplary intra & inter departmental relationship & co-ordination for design co-ordination & conflict resolution.
 Credited for significant efforts during the factory inspection of packaged sub-station.
 Played a key role in reviewing & approval of material approval Submittal (MAS).

 Project supervision and management of works for the following:
o Low Voltage (LV) power supply & distribution, Lighting & Emergency Lighting for buildings
o Area & Street Lighting
o Lightning Protection Systems & Earthing
o Telecommunications systems
o Extra Low Voltage/ Low Current Systems such as Fire Alarm & Detection System, MATV System, Security Systems (CCTV, etc.), Public Address System, etc.

 Reviewed of shop drawings, as-built drawings and verifying lighting illumination calculations and electrical circuitry calculations.

 Played a pivotal role in setting up the in-house MEP Division (mainly electrical) for designing construction supervision and project management.
 Responsible for Designing & preparation of concept & tender drawings, preparing lighting calculations and electrical circuitry calculations.
 Responsible for designing of LV and 11 kV power supply & distribution network, primary & emergency lighting, alternative power supply back up system such as UPS, DG set, lightning protection & earthing systems, and extra low voltage systems such as fire alarm system, telephone system, MATV, CCTV, PA System, etc.
 Liaison with Clients, Contractors, Architects, Other Consultants, and Suppliers/ Vendors for MEP systems during the design stage and construction stage.
 Instrumental in coordinating with different government authorities/ ministries, MEDC, MJEC, ROP (Civil Defence), MHEW, etc. for sanctioning approvals for smooth construction of projects.

 Prepared shop drawings (low voltage & extra low voltage systems), lighting calculations, electrical circuitry calculations, DB schedules and independently carrying out electrical projects execution works entailing.
o Low Voltage (LV) power supply & distribution & Lighting for large & multi-storied buildings
o Installation of 2000 Amp Bus Ducts/Risers in an 8-storey building.
o Installation of Under floor & Raised Floor Trunking system.
