JOB DESCRIPTION
• Preparation of various documents like Method statement, Work execution plan, Mobilization
plan and site Quality plan in the starting of project.
• Execute overall on plot piping fabrication and erection works include identification of materials
according to workfront.
• Reviewing fabrication shop drawing with reference to isometrics and plan drawings.
• Maintain primary conduct and good working relation with client, contractor and various site
representatives.
• Preparation of As-Built drawings, Test Packs, sorting of mechanical punches according to site
access from master punch list and closing it.
• Update Bill of Materials.
• Making client walkdown according to NFI (Notification For Inspection) for hydro test.
• Assist pre commissioning and commissioning activities of piping system include water flushing.
• Attend weekly meeting and monthly analysis work progress.
• Experience with material procurement and management to ensure that the material delivery is
according to site scheduled time.
• Ensure that all the company/client HSE goals are achieved and where possible exceeded that all the
personals involved with construction are practicing safe working procedure and provided with all
equipment for a safety environment.
• Ensure that work is done accordance with safety standards and quality as per standards and on
schedule.
• Preparation of material request for construction materials (pipes and fittings) and consumables
related to work by checking with BOQ and received material purchase order (PO) and packing list,
considering delay time for arrival.
• Knowledge in various welding procedures (WPS/PQR)
• Knowledge in installation of equipment like Chillers, Air Handling Units (AHU), different types
of vertical and horizontal Vessels and Tanks.
• Familiar with codes and standards: ASME B31.3
Responsibilities:
• Monitoring progress and distribution of daily tasks, necessary tools and materials needed, with
particular emphasis on compliance with specific safety rules and quality standards, ensuring the
necessary logistics for each team of work.
• To visit construction site on daily basis to check whether all works, materials, equipment are in
accordance with QA/QC program, project drawing and specification. When defective materials,
equipment or workmanship are found immediate action to be taken place to rectify them and
corrective report will be taken from respective site supervisor.
• Conduct daily meeting with site supervisors regarding progress and concern related to the
installation of pipes and spools. Quick action will be taken for any delay of work due to various site
obstruction.
• Make sure that all specified items are calibrated by Client approved agencies before handing over.
• Fully aware with the client methods of construction, programming and procedure and resolve any
apparent conflicts.
• Checking the piping field installation to ensure that quality of materials used and workmanship are
according to isometrics and GAD and P&ID.
• Rectification of piping layout when mismatch happens by crosschecking the design or rerouting the
line with minimum impact.
• Checking of BOM as per drawing and make necessary update in BOQ.
• Identification of material specification and getting approval from design and QC team.
• Monitor and report on progress of work, maintain documentation and filing in good order.
• Pipe Support Selection and support modeling, Protection of Piping and Insulation, tagging of valve
according to P&ID and master valve list, color codding and labeling.
• Responsible for spool fabrication, erection, line checking test for package wise and hydro testing,
also maintenance activities in existing facilities to ensure that the activities are executed as per the
scope and in adherence with HSE standards.
• Preparation of different types of permits for piping work, to attend permit to work meeting and
training to identify the control measures and hazards.
