Role and Responsibilities

•Worked in transition phase of project from TCS to Microland.
•Actively participate in various meetings like CAB, Risk Register, and Compliance etc with client.
•Installation and data creation of Oracle 10g and 11g on Solaris 9, 10 and Oracle 2 node RAC 11gr2 with ASM.
•Administration of RAC instances using SRVCTL and CRSCTL utility.
•Checking CSSD and CRSD logs in RAC environment.
•User creation and granting appropriate privileges.
•Configuring listener on server side and creating TNS aliases on client side.
•Tablespace management (Monitoring size of Tablespace and taking proper actions).
•Adding and resizing data files.
•Backup/cloning/recovery of production server using RMAN utility and user managed by using backup Tools.
•Scheduling backups of database using crontab.
•Configuring Recovery Catalog and Logical Backup Using Export & Import.
•Transferring logical data using Export/Import and Expdp / Impdp utilities.
•Successfully applied oracle patches on production and non-production DB (Interim, Patchset).
•Configured FRA.
•Upgrade the grid instance from 11.2.0.3.0 to 11.2.0.4.0 and to 12.2.0.1.0.
•Upgrade the database from 11.2.0.4.0 to 12.2.0.1.0.
•Upgrade the database from oracle 11.2.0.3.0 to 11.2.0.4.0 and Point release 10.2.0.1.0 to 10.2.0.4.0.
•Coordination with the storage team and the unix / server team to troubleshoot OS/Hardware related issues.
•Configured and managed physical, active and logical standby (data guard).
•Troubleshooting performance issues like long running queries/jobs/blockings/deadlocks etc.
•Audits of VAPT/ DB Objects/Privileged Access/Ticketing Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly/Half yearly.
•Maintaining the Physical DR in sync with primary and resolving the gap whenever required.
•Successfully perform backup restoration drill and DR drill.
•Administering ASM instance by adding and dropping the ASM disks to the disk groups and rebalancing.
•Prepare various reports such as production server uptime/availability, also doing the ticket audit on weekly basis etc.
•Performing Quarterly/Half yearly audits like VAPT (vulnerability assessment and penetration testing), DB Objects review, Privileged Access User Review done by third-party auditor

Role and Responsibilities

•Creating Users and granting Permissions, Password resetting, Unlocking Users, Managing Roles and specifying quotas on table spaces.
•Killing unwanted user sessions or processes.
•Configuring Listener on Server Side and creating TNS aliases on client side.
•Tablespace Management (Monitoring size of Tablespace and taking proper actions).
•Adding and resizing data files and Scheduling and controlling cronjob.
•Backup/cloning/recovery of production server using RMAN utility and user managed.
•Configuring Recovery Catalog and Maintain the archives logs of production as well as standby DB.
•Monitoring Filesystem usage, CPU Utilization, tablespace growth.
•Moving or backing up old archives with RMAN, if File system is filled.
•Configured and Maintaining the DR in sync with primary and resolving the gap whenever required.
•Successfully applied oracle patches on production and non-production DB (Interim, Patchset)
