• Good Command over E-tap Power System Software, Hands on experience on AutoCAD and Microstation Design Tools, familiar with Smart Plant 3D, SPEL, Document Control soft wares (PDM) and Project Management PM+ Tools.
• Very good Communication skills (Oral as well as Written) to attend kick-off meetings, project progress meetings, engineering co-ordination meetings and providing weekly and monthly project progress reports.
• Calculate preliminary budget estimates of project execution costs; involved in preparation of contracts for engineering, equipment supply, construction, and services; Discuss and resolve technical issues with the Contractor, Calculate preliminary budget estimates of project execution costs; Evaluate technical bids of equipment vendors and oversee the technical aspect of procurement as per the Company's technical requirements; Review and endorse design documentation; Prepare a list of comments in case of detecting violations/deviations, and submit it to the designer after the agreement with the management following the established procedure; Oversee the work execution schedule at various engineering stages; Control Contractor's works as per the list of design documentation; Provide consultations to independent experts during technical evaluation of the design; Involved in technical evaluation of qualification of potential suppliers of materials, electrical equipment, and services, as well as of potential Contractors; Control over the compliance with technologies and terms/conditions of installation, commissioning and start-up operations; Control over the compliance of contracted equipment with issued specifications; Endorse the plan and scope of acceptance tests, participate in acceptance tests of electrical equipment at manufacturers' factories and construction site (FAT&SAT inspections);Check the quality of works executed by the Contractor, issue recommendations and comments; Assess equipment punch lists, oversee the remedial period; Coordinate claims activities with vendors of electrical equipment and services;
• Prepare 33kV (GIS and AIS), 22kV, 3.3kV and 415V Single Line Diagrams, Schematic drawings, Electrical equipment layout drawings, lighting & Power layouts, Cable tray layouts, Grounding and Lightning protection layouts, HV & LV cable routing layouts, Fire Alarm, CCTV and access control system layouts, Cable trench and equipment installation details for the substations and plant rooms based on IEC, IEEE standards and ADWEA regulations.
• Prepare technical scope specifications for the 33kV (GIS and AIS), 11kV, 3.3kV and 415V Switchgears, 16MVA/20MVATransformers, Industrial drives such as Soft Starters (Allen Bradley, Benshaw) up to 2MW motors on 3.3kV system, VFD’s for motors (from ABB, Siemens, Merlin Gerin etc.) upto 600 kW, Diesel and Gas emergency Gensets upto 2MW for 11kV and 3.3kV system, 415V UPS (upto 20kVA) and 48V DC systems for the equipment purchase and installation contacts.
• Prepare 415V Transformers, Ring Main Units (RMU), 400V MCC’s and control panels for the pumping stations, electrical services layouts in accordance with DEWA and DCA Standards; Prepare 11kV cable routing layouts, conduits installation schemes, 11kV cable jointing chambers and electrical manhole details; Review drawing and material submittals from the Main contractors, sub contractors and vendors.
